This last weekend I went to the car was to get my Jeep all cleaned up. While I was in the lobby waiting for my vehicle I perused the greeting cards they had for sale. Most of them were the regular old cards and silly jokes...but then to my surprise I saw these:

That one was pretty good but then this one is really something..

Say no to incumbents and yes to primary challengers.
The percentage of voters who give Congress good or excellent ratings has fallen to single digits for the first time in Rasmussen Reports tracking history. This month, just 9% say Congress is doing a good or excellent job. Most voters (52%) say Congress is doing a poor job, which ties the record high in that dubious category.

Due to the fact that I am rcv'd comments based on the title rather than the content I have updated the title...thanks, Aaron...;^)
Can a principle conservative vote for McCain without compromising principle?
Here is a list of 10 conservative principles as described by Russell Kirk
First, the conservative believes that there exists an enduring moral order.

Posted at 12:35pm on Jun. 13, 2008 A quick run down on the way to handle the SCOTUS...RedState style.
By aaronbg
Ok so here is a quick run down on what we read yesterday and some of the proposed solutions. EPU wants to impeach, Haystack gives credit where credit is due, LanceKates exposes the fools who support the treasonous decision of the SCOTUS, The Directors think President Bush should get congress to act.
I have read them all and I think the only way to fight back is to use everything that we went over yesterday, plus a couple things mentioned only in passing.

A Moment of silence for a fallen Brother in Arms
Sgt. Frank J. Gasper, 25, of Merced, Calif., died May 25 in Najaf, Iraq, of wounds suffered when his vehicle encountered an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 10th Special Forces Group, Fort Carson, Colorado.
Frankie was the soldier who replaced me when I left the Army. I knew him. Although today I shed tears for the loss of my friend, I know he knew his mission, I know he believed the war to be just, and I know he would knock out any pond scum Kossack who tried to challenge him or his service. Frankie was with the best of the best, he was a paratrooper and a SOF soldier. De Oppresso Liber is the motto of the Special Forces, To liberate the Oppressed. Indeed Frankie was living up to this motto. Thank you all so much here at RedState for continuing the battle here on the home front so that Frankie’s life was not taken in vain.

I was reading my Bible the other night, trying to find some strength to persevere, and I came across some great context. I was reading Nehemiah chapter 9 but the earlier chapters tell most of Nehemiah’s story. Nehemiah lived during the time when the Israelites were beginning their return from exile in Babylon.

Some thoughts
This is not our last election.
This too shall pass
The only way for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing
I know that many of us are in a daze, melancholy, upset, disappointed, hurt, fearful, and without hope for political progress in the near term. I know many of us are conflicted, between what we know in our heart and what we fear with our mind. I know many of us would like to sit this one out. I know these things because, if I may steal a line from the Beatles, I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together.

Posted at 3:31pm on Apr. 24, 2008 Another Pastor Wright story.....Oh well, here we go.
By aaronbg
Look at this gem I found on The Caucus , The New York Times Politics Blog.
Mr. Wright, Senator Barack Obama’s former pastor, gave an interview to Bill Moyers on Wednesday, to air on PBS tomorrow.
“I felt it was unfair,” Mr. Wright said, according to excerpts of the interview released Thursday. “I felt it was unjust. I felt it was untrue. I felt for those who were doing that, were doing it for some very devious reasons.”

Posted at 10:03pm on Apr. 18, 2008 Ok I know this probably isn't the right way to do this **(Updated)**
By aaronbg
I have waited all week for the Friday open thread...I got questions I want to ask. I am a 31 year old and I have been "conservative" my whole life, but I am still in my political youth and have only recently become an active participant. I started out reading Drudge, then made my way to Politico, then got riled up for Fred, which led me here. Since I got here I have learned alot in a very short time. I want more. I have not felt this way in a long time.
(Update)
Ok so after reading everyones comments and suggestions and thinking a bit more about what I need in order to get involved, I have one more request. I believe I lack definition. I would like to be put to the test. I would love it if some of you could ask me some pointed questions in order for you and me to better define where I stand on the issues. Now, I know where I stand on any given issue, but I have never been questioned by other conservatives. So if anybody would like to help me define and refine, fire away. And thanks again for all the comments.
Aaron

By aaronbg
Ok since it is Friday and I have nothing better to do I have decided to see if I can write up a story that would be deemed worthy by the VRWC. Maybe even earn me pledge status?...lol
"Operation Manchurian Conservative"
John McCain is not what you think. He is not the Liberal in Conservative clothing. Our man John, has been a double agent for quite sometime and his cover has yet to be fully understood.

I am beginning to feel my blood pressure rise. I am a veteran, I was in the Army. So were my Father and my Fathers Father. I have seen what Vietnam and the anti-war (anti-soldier) left have done to my Father and I have felt the growing anti-war (anti-soldier) movement on the streets on my town. This makes me very upset, but just as the aneurism is about to occur, I realize that we are dealing with the code pinkos who in their very essence are absolutely inept.

This is my first post here at Redstate and I am new to blogging in general. I had this idea and wanted to share. I have been reading Redstate for a while and value the opinions of the members. If you find this idea interesting let me know...if not let me know that as well.
For everyone concerned about who will fill the Jobs left unfilled if we deport all 12 million illegals here is some good math for you.
