Moe replaced it from a post about an hour ago....I saw it about a half hour before that and I'm still laughing....I'm reposting it with comments with Moe's consent!
My question is this...was this video made by a Republican trying to show what paranoid and stupid Democrats believe or was it posted by a paranoid and stupid Democrat....LOL.
Looks like this is the 2008 version of the Clinton charge that Republicans want to breath dirty air, drink dirty water, throw single mom,s along with their babies and their kids out on the street and starve grandma taken to absurd extreme...
Now, for your viewing pleasure:
"Voting Republican"
What's alternately sad and hilarious about this video is that there are Dems out there who actually believe this pap. It has to be a spoof. Surely, this was not a serious effort to sway people. Then again, perhaps I underestimate the lunacy of the Left.
I hate the idea that someone can make more money than me because they're smarter than I am and work harder.
I like blaming other people for my problems.
I hate organized religion.
I value an artic wasteland I will never see more than the economy that feeds, clothes and shelters me.
I think the government is so efficient and competent that I want them to control even more parts of my life.
Got any more.....
...I believe that earmarks are a fundamental component of maintaining each district's interests relative to the national well-being, and not a tool for corruption and cronyism
...I'm not comfortable paying only 32% of my income to various bureaucracies - that number should be closer to 52%
...It's not enough for me to expect competence and integrity from my president - those are distractive issues, when viewed against tangible concepts like Hope and Change
...America is the true scourge of the earth, as we consistently fight wars of imperial oppression, while looting and raping the sovereign nations that get in the way of our ambition
...A baby has no voice, and is a fungible by-product of natural human desires, to be treated the same as a nagging thread on a shirt
...The communist utopias of the Soviet Union and China are simply misunderstood regimes with the highest good of their people at heart
...Adam Smith's Invisible Hand should be chopped off, and replaced with the Iron Fist of income redistribution
...All cultures are superior to "white" culture, rather than equal in the eyes of the law
...I believe the Constitution is a living, breathing document that exists to serve the whims of the people, rather than provide a rigid framework on which to build a safe, prosperous republic
...I am a victim
Even though I'm a man, it's more kumbaya to think with my ovaries instead of my brain. It's downright mean to insist on reason or logic, donchaknow?

When it started and I had the opinion it was probably a spoof, I laughed.
Then I realized it really was, most likely, for real. And I started to wonder how many people I know believe republicans actually think this way. It's quite a few...

I posted a satire this morning about looking forward to an Obama presidency. This kind of tops it off. Thanks for the laughs.
for the last couple of days and I'n fighting the urge to let my head explode....This came out...and 4 hours latter, I'm choking back the chuckles!
I guess I needed the laugh pretty badly because now I can't stop

Use duct tape. Wrap your head with duct tape and even if it does explode, the pieces will all stay together.

When the Dems are in charge, there will be a federally funded program to take care of both your eminent exploding head and the uncontrollable laughter.

People shouldn't be allowed to just say anything they want.
Guns are evil. If we could just get rid of all the guns there will be peace in the world.
I just don't pay enough in taxes.
If I don't Salt Lake City will become waterfront property...and that's just not right.
I believe the United Nations needs to become more involved in America's affairs.
The Constitution is a living document that must be modernized to fit today's culture.
Energy prices are just too damned low. Since the population of the USA is only 4% of the world's population we ought to only be using 4% of the world's energy. But we don't. That's not fair to countries like Haiti, Sierra Leone and Burundi who aren't getting their fair share of energy because we Americans are energy hogs.
Because it's time we had a Black President so we can show the world just how progressive we really are and then, maybe, we can have a national dialogue on race.

...I want to my CPA to tell me how to find loopholes in the tax code so that congress can change the rules in 4 or 5 years and stick me with the bill. [oh wait, I do my taxes myself; Nevermind]
...congress knows better how to save for your retirement than you do (even if you plan on working until the day you die- and they get a nice pension for life).

Shows you what kind of sheer, fanatic, freaks live on the other side of the fence. Glad I live in Oklahoma - far from most of the liberal loonies.
I *really believe* all those things! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
Oh, Dear. Has it gotten this bad? Do we have to air the talking points just to remind ourselves of the talking points? It isn't that it's not funny, because it is: the delusions of liberals run very deep and wide. But don't we get enough of those every day from The New York Times?

I want a party that talks about getting the government off peoples backs.
I want a party that promises to stand up for conservative principles.
I want a party that is dedicated to government reform when in the minority.
I want a party says it will take the shackles off American industry and curb the liability tax on manufacturers/
I want a party that runs on a balanced budget.

I'm tired of the words compromise and bipartisan only being applied by Republicans to Republican issues
RINO's are becoming the majority
They're only interested in my money and not what I think
They've grown the government more than the Clinton administration
They spend money just like liberals
I may not agree with what you say but I'll defend your right to say it to the very death.
So are you doing anything to change the party, or do you just like to whine?

I love their rationale for the second clip, justifying "I'm voting Republican because I don't want a cure for AIDS or Breast Cancer." This is what their annotated version (click on the "more" link) says to justify that:
"The Bush administration has been more interested in promoting AIDS treatment in Africa (for the benefit of American pharmaceutical companies) than in assisting American citizens who have AIDS. The administration has also withheld money from organizations in Africa that distribute condoms in attempts to control the spread of HIV/AIDS."
You have got to be kidding me. This is what made me so frustrated when I was at HHS - this administration has spent more money than any administration in the history of America COMBINED on AIDS relief, at home and abroad, including more than $18 Billion in Research alone. They committed more than $19 Billion in funding for PEPFAR, and are going to exceed that goal by the end of the term. They're interested in organizations that do work that actually results in positive benefit, NOT just handing out condoms. This is a program that everyone - ABC, the New York Times, Bob Geldof - concede have saved thousands of lives, and by 2010, that number will probably be in the millions. It comes down to a simple calculus:
"So far, roughly 1.4 million AIDS patients have received lifesaving medicine paid for with American dollars, up from 50,000 before the initiative."
If someone said this, and actually believed it, it would be a mark of enormous ignorance or absolute unadulterated insanity.
