Thunder and lighting, insane happenings...

Dow falling below 11k
Fannie and Freddie going (gone?) bye bye
$150 oil, maybe $200 soon
We left the car keys to Bernanke?

Markets look to the future. What they see aignt good. Could they be seeing an Obama presidency? Lets not kid ourselves either, they could be seeing a McCain presidency. Throwing Phil Gramm under the bus wasnt very polite, or smart.

Can someone tell our esteemed candidates for POTUS that beating up the productive members of society to score points with plebes (hey I aignt rich I am a plebe too) isnt helping my stock portfolio?

Please explain how can we take the ball and run with it so the McCain scores in November.

And Rightly So!

Strong Dollar. Im with Kudlow on this, I think the first candidate to get there gets a big boost.
No New Spending (Big Mac is sorta on this I think already, Barry, obviously, is not.)
Deal with the debt. Money is leaving the American market. Showing some fiscal responsibility would bring some confidence back.
Drill! Drill! Drill!
Lower corporate tax rates. State tax on corporate earnings and fed tax on corporate earnings is like, what, 25% (when combined)? Thats real, real high. Id like to see it at zero, thats a dream, but they need to be lowered.
Id also like to see him do what nobody can do. The idea of allowing private investment accounts (tax free of course), instead of social security.

Id also like to end these government backed forced sales (Bear Sterns). Bail outs should be done with private capital. Freddie and Frannie should be privatized.

"I am a jelly doughnut"

of course, it varies by state, but we still have the highest (or dang close) corporate income taxes in the industrialized world. We should learn from the Irish and adopt low corporate income taxes, get rid of personal income taxes and replace it with a VAT, or something similar.

I'd certainly be on board with that program. We just need to convince enough of our fellow voters.

And Rightly So!
