Barney Frank: Bush Perpetrator of "Ethnic Cleansing"

Promoted from blogs, with a suggestion to Rep. Frank: for the love of God, man, take some elocution lessons. If you're going to irresponsibly demagogue for partisan benefit, the least you can do is learn how to do it properly. I mean, you even messed up the punchline. - Moe Lane
Compare this:
"This openness requires respect for every voice in the Congress. As Thomas Jefferson said, 'Every difference of opinion is not a difference of principle.' My colleagues elected me to be Speaker of the House -- the entire House. Respectful of the vision of our Founders, the expectations of our people, and the great challenges that we face, we have an obligation to reach beyond partisanship to work for all Americans."
"Let us all stand together to move our country forward, seeking common ground for the common good." - Nancy Pelosi
with THIS:
"they, they, they let the hurricane do the ethnic cleansing, because then they’re, all they’re doing is not resisting it, that’s why I call ethnic cleansing by inaction, and I know that there are people who were very happy that, as a result, … [inaudible] … [so that] Louisiana would become a more widely Republican [city] … [inaudible] … because if you lose 100,000 black voters … then you have to take a state that was predominately Republican and made it [inaudible]." - Barney Frank
It seems the Democrats' promises of bipartisanship, like their new ethics reforms, don't take effect until March. I'm not holding my breath.
...on your world is priceless! - Video
He's a smart one, that Barney Frank. He's seen through our cunning plan. We'd better cancel the scheduled earthquake that is supposed to drop Western California into the sea.
Now that would have been some cleansing.
I can't recall too much of what he said other than that he comes across as a blathering idiot who can't answer a yes or no question to save his life (the interview was in general on legislation that had something to do with share holders deciding CEO salaries rather than boards).
...how the Democrats get away with this. This is just pure libel!
There was a post a short while back, that talked about those people in New Orleans. They KNEW that they could be severly hurt in a hurricane and they didn't take any responsibility! They just sat there and waited for the government to take care of them! In addition, they came back to live and rebuild in the same places as before. Of course, they'll expect the government to take care of them when another hurricane strikes.
"Louisiana would become a more widely Republican [city] … [inaudible] … because if you lose 100,000 black voters … then you have to take a state that was predominately Republican"
So, BLACK VOTER = DEMOCRAT?
Does WHITE ELECTED DEMOCRAT = SLAVE MASTER?
I really liked the question Steve Doucy on Fox and Friends asked a Colorado official this morning after commenting about how noticeable that Coloradans just pulled up their bootstraps and started helping each other, and nobody was complaining about all the major problems the back-to-back blizzards caused. He asked the official, "Has anybody asked for a FEMA trailer yet or a $2,000 check?" Of course the answer was no, but what a commentary on the way the residents of New Orleans reacted to the hurricane compared to the residents of Colorado reacting to these blizzards!
"The government's view of the economy can be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it." ~ Ronald Reagan
is what happens when you have a district so thoroughly insulated from competition that the other party doesn't try to field a candidate. The only chance he goes down is in the primaries, but there's no indication that his constituents are less loony than he is. This is the reason McKinney, Sheila Jackson Lee, and Barbara Lee are willing to provide the sound bytes that they do...they know the worst they have to fear is a more moderate Democrat (cough...McKinney...cough...ha ha...). We have a few winners on that score too, don't get me wrong, but we have nothing on the fringe left.
