Mike Huckabee is none other than "Lonesome Rhodes" from "A Face in the Crowd"

I came to the chilling realization last night that Mike Huckabee's folksy one-liners and his backwoods populist approach is reminiscent of Andy Griffith's character Larry 'Lonesome' Rhodes from the movie "A Face in the Crowd". I recommend the movie to anyone interested in character similarities. It was Andy Griffith’s first big movie.

Here’s a little taste of the character. Do you see any similarities with Huckabee?

Your thoughts?

Without a doubt you have hit hammer to nail, except that Andy Griffith's character had considerable more charisma.

Sadly, many of those "values" voters just want to be told what they want to hear, rather than accept reality of honesty and facts. The best we can hope for is Roe v. Wade being overturned. The best we can hope for is that most states pass laws defining marriage as between one man and one woman.

The best we can hope for is for these issues to go back to the states -- and a POTUS that will appoint conservative judges so that the judiciary goes back to interpreting the constitution instead of making up new law.
