CNN is reporting that Martinez has been offered and accepted the post of head of the RNC.

Martinez will keep his Senate seat, meaning his attention will be divided - exactly what we don't need, I'd say.

I'm not seeing any quotes from Steele, so maybe he is keeping his head down about the whole thing.

I am very disappointed that Steele did not take the position, and I wonder why it was that he walked away. I feel like we just lost out, seriously.
