Congress on Tuesday passed a new energy bill and sent it along Pennsylvania Avenue to the Whitehouse in a hybrid Prius car. President Bush signed the measure into law.
The bill mandates a fuel economy standard of 35 miles per gallon in the year 2020, and by the year 2012 the “inefficient” 100-watt incandescent light bulb will be history. A .50 cent light bulb today will cost $3.00 (in today’s dollars) when this is implemented.

By Bob Frazier
Is this country going mad?
""Mom and Dad" as well as "husband and wife" have been banned from California schools under a bill signed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who with his signature also ordered public schools to allow boys to use girls restrooms and locker rooms, and vice versa, if they choose."
So reports World Net Daily. Funny, it does not seem to be getting a lot of "airplay" in the Main Street Media. This is a group of state bills signed by Arnold the terminator. For those of you who supported Arnold over McClintock because "he was electable" the chickens are now coming home to roost. (Is there a lesson here?)

I received in the mail this week a "recruiting" letter from Governor christine Todd Whitman. The first two lines sure caught my eye:
"Dear Robert,
The far-right has it all wrong!
Their exclusionary tactics, rigid litmus tests, and senseless finger pointing have done a disservice to the Republican Party and democracy in general."
Far-right??? Disservice to the republican party?
It goes on:
