Huckaspasm Syndrome

Today the Republican Center for Disease Control and Mental Health issued the following bulletin:
Alert: Huckaspasm Syndrome Debilitating
Conservative Partisans
Huckaspasm Syndrome is a debilitating condition that causes severe mental anguish and uncontrolled outbursts of incoherent speech.
Symptoms:
Headache, frothing at the mouth, hyperbole, irrational ranting, excessive blogging, bloodshot eyes, name calling, hate speech, flamebacks, small caucuses.
Causes:
Christian leaders expressing their heartfelt faith, polls showing an informed electorate dismissing your Presidential candidate of choice, innocuous commercials wishing everyone a Merry Christmas, any utterance of a word or name with the prefix "Huck".
Remedies:
Acceptance of you and your candidate's failings to effectively communicate a winning vision. Quite reflection upon why your candidate of choice has not caught fire. Respectfully debate issues with others.
Health officials have identified rampant unprotected blogging on RedState as the leading cause of Huckaspasm Syndrome. "It's like a San Francisco bathhouse in the 1980's" said one social conservative, "they have no restraint, no self control, Huckaspasm is being spewed everywhere."
Update: Officials now believe that Huckaspasm Syndrome may have spread from the bile of DailyKos sub-human primates infecting normal political discourse.
Update II: Scientists are trying to determine if there is a connection between Bush Derangement Syndrome and Huckaspasm Syndrome, the symptoms appear to be similar.
projection...the unconscious displacement of one's pathology onto others...when Huck's supporters stop using terms like Huckahaters (which are straight-up ad hominem attacks designed to distract from their candidate's deficits), their comments might merit consideration...
Will Pastor Huck be delivering a sermon anytime soon on this topic?
Us heathens want to mark the date in our calenders to make sure that we have time to properly appreciate the word of Huck as he comes down from the mountain with "the word".
Vote for Pastor Huckster, America's Pastor (tm)

This is hysterical. It's about time that something like this was written. :-)
This is, I believe, the second comedy blog for Huck. They fit in well with his campaign. It's a bad joke too.
Now then, can any of you respond to the critical, factual blogs that are pointing out why Huck is unfit for office? Or is reality just too painful?

p.s. Great diary!
Actually, what looks to you like "Huckaspasm" is really a search for intelligent life. With a few exceptions, the search has been in vain.
Susannah, who I notice is here, has been one of those signs of intelligent life. But I have to say that, based on what I have seen thus far, I doubt seriously that many other Huckabee fans would agree with her or be able to articulate so clearly why he is their choice.
That was very kind of you. I really needed the compliment. I have been doing practice board questions today, and they have a way of making one feel, let's just say, unintelligent. My medical boards (step 2) aren't until this summer, but I like to study a little throughout my rotations so I don't get overwhelmed when the "end" comes. Well, I'm off to do more questions (boo). :-(
Y'all have a good night. :-)

Not supporting Huckabee but appreciate the humor and creativity
There is nothing lonelier than being a black Republican in Boston, Massachusetts
This caught my funny bone. Not that I think Huckabee is the right choice for all Republicans--though he is for me--but sometimes our top recommended list seems like it has three or four spots reserved for Huckaspasms.
Right after I make my comment about intelligent life, the two clearest signs of intelligent life -- GOPaisano and Susannah -- show up. I don't think either one of you fit the social issues profile of the Huckabee supporter, which is why I still question whether they are paying attention at all. (Note for example the S.F. bathhouse comment -- a sign that your live and let live philosophy might be unusual in the Huckabee camp.) Nonetheless, you gave cogent reasons for your support; I appreciate that.
And I appreciate your serious responses to me. By the way, thanks for your positive comment on my recent diary.
I know my support for gay rights does not make me a natural fit for the Huckabee camp. In fact, I've been questioning my support a little the more I hear about that--a little John McCain regret--but for the moment, I'm sticking with him.
...it's all feelings, who's "more Christian", etc.

He has his flaws but supporters of RINO Rudy and Slick Willard refuse to acknowledge their own candidates shortcomings.
Projection indeed.
... and re-dissected over and over and over and over again throughout the year. Thompson and McCain as well. Huckabee hasn't much suffered the Eye of Sauron that is Redstate attention.
PS: But then I understand that Huckabee is pro-life and anti-gay marriage. Which apparently explains the 47% increase in the tax burden on Arkansans during his governorship.
....I full well acknowledge Mitt's various shortcomings. I still happen to support the guy because I trust him to do what he says and says all the right things.
Mike Huckabee has a very liberal record, and advocates liberal policies, and his most recent attack on the Bush administration could have been lifted directly off the DailyKos.
Oh, but he's a Christian though. So was Jimmy Carter.

Yeah, more misdirection from another Huckbot. There have been hundreds of posts analyzing the records, and positions of all the major republican candidates on this site. These posts can be easily found via the search function located in the site's header.
