Posted at 11:14am on Dec. 20, 2006 The Best Caller Ever on CSPAN

By Christian Soldier

In case you had trouble understanding the caller here is what he said:

Mr. Carter, thank you for making me a Republican, because of your incompetent handling of the Iranians, the stagnation and your cozying up with every dictator, thug and Islamic terrorist there is. But more importantly, I find it to be vile, you know, because you're black at heart. It's hard because you're an anti-semite, and let me explain why I think you're a bigot, a racist and an anti-semite.

Posted at 5:44pm on Dec. 19, 2006 Kofi Anan takes apartment from working class New Yorker

By Christian Soldier

Thomas Lifson at the American Thinker has a great piece on the blatant and abject hypocrisy of Kofi “Oil for Food” Anan and that asinine association of Terrorists and Dictators known to most as the United nations.

While lecturing the United States, the most generous and benevolent nation in history, on the need to help the downtrodden, Kofi Anan thought nothing of taking a New York, taxpayer, subsidized, apartment in Roosevelt City that was supposed to go to a needy TAXPAYING New Yorker, for his brother and family.

By Christian Soldier

The AP has an article today about how the different branches of the U.S. Military are meeting or exceeding their recruiting goals.

Snip:

"The Navy and Air Force met their recruiting goals last month while the Army and Marine Corps exceeded theirs, the Defense Department announced."

"The Army, which is bearing the brunt of the work in Iraq, did the best. It signed up 6,485 new recruits in November compared with its target of 6,150 - meaning 105 percent of its goal."

By Christian Soldier

The administration of the New York City College believing “the university is a place to discuss and argue ideas, some of which are not widely supported," has allowed the community center on campus to be named after convicted cop killer Joanne Deborah Chesimard a.k.a Assata Shakur.

MOOO!

According to the U.K. Independent, the cow is the "world's top destroyer of the environment."

The Independent cites, what else, a United Nations report which says the cow is more damaging to the environment than cars, planes, and George Bush.

Posted at 7:58pm on Dec. 11, 2006 Tony Blair says there is no room for hyphenated Britons

By Christian Soldier

Promoted by Jeff, a native American.

In words reminiscent of Teddy Roosevelt’s 1915 speech in which he exclaimed that "there is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism," British Prime Minister Tony Blair told immigrants to Great Britain that they had a duty to integrate with British society. The full text of Mr. Blair’s comments can be found on the U.K. Telegraph website.

Here’s a snippet from the article:

"If outsiders wishing to settle in Britain were not prepared to conform to the virtues of tolerance then they should stay away." He added: "Conform to it; or don't come here. We don't want the hate-mongers, whatever their race, religion or creed."

and then say, ‘What should be the reward of such sacrifices?’”, Samuel Adam asked the State House in Philadelphia on August 1st, 1776. He was asking his brethren to think about the people who had already made the ultimate sacrifice for freedom; asking them not to let their sacrifices be in vain.

Maybe it’s time the hate America, blame America first crowd, contemplate the sacrifices our brave young men and women have made for all of us against an enemy just as brutal and vicious as King George III’s Britain of 1776. Contemplate the life of Sgt Yevgeniy Ryndych who gave his life in Iraq on Wednesday.

Posted at 7:47pm on Dec. 7, 2006 Hooah! For John Howard

By Christian Soldier

The Prime Minister of Australia and America’s greatest ally, John Howard, is giving the Iraq Study Group Report the respect it deserves; and the treatment I hope our President will give it, he’s ignoring it.

In this story in the Sydney Morning Herald
The Australian Prime Minister basically told their Labor leader, Kevin Rudd, the ISG Report was asinine and he doesn’t agree with it.

Here’s a snippet from The Herald :

”In reply, Mr Rudd asked for a third time: "Why is the Prime Minister the only world leader who refuses to accept that current coalition policy in Iraq is not working?"

Posted at 11:59am on Dec. 5, 2006 Right to Privacy

By Christian Soldier

Do Americans have a right to privacy?

While there is no explicit right to privacy in the United States Constitution; The Supreme Court has inferred a general right to privacy from different portions of the constitution namely the First, Third, Fourth, Ninth, and Fourteenth Amendments.

The most obvious source of the inferred right to privacy is contained within the Fourth Amendment which reads; “The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probably cause, supported by Oath and affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and persons or things to be seized.”

Posted at 12:44pm on Nov. 29, 2006 Repeal the 17th Amendment

By Christian Soldier

Excerpts from my Christmas List

The best thing “We the People” could have done with our constitution would have been to leave it alone. As written, the United States Constitution is by far the greatest document of governance ever created. The greatest testament to this is the fact that it has endured for over 200 years despite the medaling of scheming politicians and the apathy of a less than vigilant body politic. To address the deficiencies of each of the constitution’s amendments would require more time and space than are available within these confines. For the purpose of this blog entry I will address only the 17th amendment.

Arthur C. Brooks a professor at Syracuse University has written a book, “Who Really Cares”. The books concludes, through statistical research and analysis, that liberals do all the talking and demanding but conservatives do the bulk of the charitable giving.

“The book's basic findings are that conservatives who practice religion, live in traditional nuclear families and reject the notion that the government should engage in income redistribution are the most generous Americans, by any measure. “

Unless you’re a former democrat senator from North Carolina that wants to buy a Sony PlayStation 3 at a discounted price before it’s available to rest of the hoi polloi. The losing vice-presidential candidate in 2004, John Edwards, tried to have one of his staffers buy a PlayStation at a Raleigh Wal-Mart on the same day he was criticizing it.
