Feigned Democrat Outrage

Two weeks after the Senate overwhelmingly condemned Moveon.org’s attack against General Petraeus without the majority leader’s support, Sen. Reid has suddenly found his voice. His feigned outrage at Rush Limbaugh seems remarkably misplaced at best, and part of a larger, more cynical attempt to pander to his party’s radical and open-handed financial supporters at worst. It’s a stratagem that’s especially unfortunate considering that “phony soldiers” actually do exist – men and women of no conscience and no respect who perpetrate the most heinous lies imaginable, just to provide themselves a platform to make a political statement about Iraq.
This could’ve been an opportunity for Democrats to demonstrate real leadership by standing shoulder to shoulder with those of us who support our men and women in uniform, and condemn the reprehensible actions of people like Jesse MacBeth. Rush Limbaugh is clearly one of these men. His support for our troops is incontrovertible; his respect for the men and women who put themselves in harm’s way for this country a core element of his personality. Any reasonably objective analysis of the audio tape from his program last week would’ve made that point abundantly clear. But if this reaction from Democrats is any indication, it doesn’t appear that any of them actually listened.
There's nothing you can do with liberals and Democrats when they decide they're going to make fools of themselves other then get out of the way. I think Rush has handled this whole matter quite well by strongly denouncing the accusations being made against him, and inviting Harry Reid to come on his show to defend his actions. Needless to say, we won't be hearing from Harry on Rush's show. This is what Democrats are about - the politics of destruction. More specifically, this is what the Hillary Clinton gang are about and the names haven't changed - Ickes, Carville, Begala, Emmanuel, Podesta, Soros, Hollywood, Unions, and the list goes on. As ugly as this had become, it's early enough in the process for people to take notice of exactly what a Clinton presidency will entail. Caveat emptor.

Thanks for taking the time to contact redstate "the number one conservative site on the net", (just couldn't help myself :^) to make your views known. Rush is a true patriot, supports our troops in ways he doesn't like to talk about, as a caller explained on his show.
The phony soldiers lie is just an example of the Hillary Matters smear machine and the plans for the future.
Maybe you might want to check in more often, don't be a stranger around here. We need conservative leaders to pick up the conservative standard and charge the hills. You might find a lot more people will follow than you think.
Thanks again.
The Dems may have accidentally opened a Pandora's Box by shining the light on "phony soldiers."
The fact that so many war critics have felt compelled to pump up their hollow arguments by posing as soldiers with moral authority is a story that should have far stronger legs than the Dems' phony outrage over a radio personality.
Now is the time to push the real "phony soldier" story into the headlines. The Dems have embraced these $oros $oldiers who manufacture lies about imaginary atrocities. Why not counter their contrived Rush controversy with a resolution condemning the real "phony soldiers" or, better yet, put some teeth in actual legislation that makes such posing a crime with more risk than reward.
Once again we would see whether the Dems are more loyal to their radical sugar daddies or to the U.S. armed forces. They've already flunked their first test by siding with Moveon.org instead of General Petraeus.

My thoughts exactly...only they do not know what they are going to reap!
I have given up on trying to understand the Democrats, but they do seem to keep on giving...

have muddied the waters so badly with phoney soldiers would we listen if real soldiers did speak out against the war? At the very least they would go through a "vetting" taking weeks to determine whether they are real or not.
As an aside, it's no wonder Congress wants to bring back the draft. The only way they'll get the military to fight for them after this is to force them to do it.
I will use the John Gotti analogy. He thrived when he operated under the radar. Now that the spotlight is on Media Matters, Moveon and all the rest of the Soros soldiers the country will learn just exactly who he is and what he is up to.

In responding to a votevet, Limbaugh said this:
“This is such a blatant use of a valiant combat veteran, lying to him about what I said and then strapping those lies to his belt, sending him out via the media and a TV ad to walk into as many people as he can walk into,’’ Limbaugh said today.
Listen to the audio.
How am i dumb?
Do you think the description given by Limbaugh fits the characteristics of a baseball player? a doctor? or a suicide bomber?
...you not only created a backup account for when we gacked you, you messed it up: it wouldn't have worked anyway.
That's pretty dumb right there.

Why do I always respond to the weirdos...? Thanks Moe...although I don't often agree with you, you are consistent (not exactly a conservative, but truth over rumor - I appreciate that)...

Not to me... I love your responses...almost always.

And I agree with Rush that you idealogical terrorists will stoop as low as you can go in order to score a point against conservatives. That includes waving prosthetic limbs in the air, standing on as many dead bodies as you can gather in a day, then hiding behind the first skirt you come to.
It is very, very interesting that the only soldiers you guys can seem to support are the ones who are AGAINST the war, and you probably have to chug Pepto for a day to do it.
When you go out for playtime tomorrow, try to involve some traffic.
was the use of the word "Terrorist" to describe people who disagree with you. Do liberals and others who oppose the war really terrify you? Or do they merely annoy and frustrate you with a lack of logic? As I noted in my above post, it seems a bit over the top...but then again, its just an anonymous post on the internet, so that kind of thing happens.
"...was the use of the word "Terrorist" to describe people who disagree with you."
Wrong. People who disagree with me are not a problem.
People who try to use the absolute power of the State to silence private citizens, who shout down or assault speakers at college campuses, who shake down corporations with racial threats, who turn funerals into political rallies and a loved one's death into "absolute moral authority", who intimidate political enemies with FBI files, who kill the pets of women who have suddenly become "inconvenient", or have the IRS audit their taxes, who invade a small town to defend six men who have beaten a member of another race unconscious simply because he is a member of another race, and whose intent it is to intimidate and personally destroy anyone who stands against them are idealogical terrorists.
Defend that if you want to. I think it is time to call it what it is.
Let me know if I have not been clear in my subsequent post.
Actually, don't - my self imposed exile to the land of playoff baseball and college football is back on.
All the best.
No matter what you write, I can tell that there is never any doubt about what you think. Nope...you certainly know what you know, and you enjoy knowing it with a sense of hyperbole that must be truly self satisfying. More power to you and I will continue to be amused by you.
Speaking as a Nevadan who is utterly mortified by Harry Reid's behavior over the last year, I'd say that he personifies one of the best arguments EVER for reducing the senate term from six to four years.
I think my anger and disgust in response to the Democrats is a little different from others, so I thought I'd post.
First note that the Democrats are responding, as usual, to events in a mythical world of their own creation rather than the actual world. In this mythical world, Kerry and the Clintons never labeled Iraq a threat to national security; when they voted to use military force in Iraq, they were really voting to give the president permission to, perhaps, think about using force in Iraq; there are no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, no matter how many chemical bombs or tons of radioactive junk for dirty bombs is found; there were no connections between Iraq and Al Quaeda; human rights concerns was a fake motivation added later as a cover for the fact that the first fake motivation (WMDs) didn't pan out; the worst abuse to happen at Abu Ghraib is when Americans photographed a guy with panties on his head; Guantanamo is like a gulag. You can probably embellish the description of the Democrat's fictional world; it rivals Middle Earth. And now they've created a whole fictional view about the American military for Rush Limbaugh.
Like most people, I don't like being lied to, but I really don't like being taken for an idiot! Anyone can check what Rush actually said. If you're going to lie, at least have enough respect for my intelligence to make it plausible. Put some effort into it for goodness sake.
The best I can do is call to mind the late, great character actor John Vernon in "The Outlaw Josey Wales": "Don't piss down my back and tell me it's raining, Senator!"
Maybe I should make that my signature.

And we have not forgotten you. Someday soon the House will be burgeoning with actual CONSERVATIVE GOP Congressmen, hoepfully with an overall GOP majority. And THEN we'll revisit that party leadership thing. No offense intended toward Boehner, but you are our guy.
It's war -- so when can we start shooting back at the
enemyDemocrats?
