Posted at 12:51pm on Jun. 4, 2008 It's time to start WWIII

By ConservativePartyNow

The battle lines have been drawn. The general election has started, and it's time now to get it on.

We have all come to this point in our existence and the existence of this great experiment called America, and it is time that we all stand up and defend her and her freedoms that so many have fought, bled, and died for; and Senator Obama voted against.

We cannot under any circumstances let this man have the keys to the Oval Office. Our republic may not survive. What he stands for is diametrically different than any other president in the history of this great land, with the possible exception to a peanut farmer from Georgia.

Posted at 12:40pm on Jun. 3, 2008 I am ready to drill!

By ConservativePartyNow

The price of gas is getting ridiculous. So much so that spouse and I are considering moving closer to where we work. And as someone from this state, I am not opposed for them to drill in my backyard, even if it would only drop the price by $1 or 2. This is something that we need to take care of now.

Posted at 3:16pm on May 21, 2008 My Conversation with Obama(this really happened)

By ConservativePartyNow

I received a phone call last night from the Obama campaign and I wanted to share what happened with everyone. It was classic. The caller said that he was calling from the Obama campaign and was wondering if I had picked someone to vote for for our June 3rd primary(I live in Montana, the last state to vote this year in the parimaries). I told him I had not made a decision yet, and he proceeded to tell me how wonderful Obama was a what a great president he would be.

By ConservativePartyNow

So apparently now, anything he or anyone in his campaign(including his wife) says, does, visits, listens to, or even thinks is off the table. Here is a few list of things that you are not allowed to disagree or discuss about his campaign
1. His middle name
2. Where he went to church for 20 years, but did not hear anything

Posted at 12:28pm on May 12, 2008 A plan to stop OPEC from holding us hostage

By ConservativePartyNow

I am in favor of finding alternative resources, but until then, we will need oil. So this is what I propose that President Bush does.

1. We start drilling in ANWR, and just don't inform people, other than those pertinent and those in the area notified.
2. Meet with the leaders of the oil companies in the US and encourage them to produce more.
3. Then when we have built up an ample supply to last us about 6 months, the president holds a news conference and announces that oil from OPEC countries will be stopped at the border until the price reaches $50.

Posted at 3:09pm on May 9, 2008 How McCain runs away with the election (If he doesn't screw it up)

By ConservativePartyNow

Baring doing something really dumb, if he wants to, I feel McCain can win this going away. He could lose by alienating the conservative base and not picking a good VP. However, I do several scenarios where he could win it going away.

Right now, the Democratic party is as split as I have ever seen it in all of my life. Maybe 1968 might have been worse. The party is really split along racial, religious, gender lines, and I really don't see them all coming together by November for several reasons.

Posted at 10:47am on Apr. 25, 2008 Is John McCain trying to lose my vote??!!??

By ConservativePartyNow

John McCain was not in my top 5 candidates that were running for the GOP nomination this year, but appears baring some unforseen incident(like he quits or God forgive, a tragedy), he will be the one that will get the nomination. And I have settled on that because he was better than all the Dems running combined.

Now he goes after the GOP again in the NC GOP incident. *Note to the McCain campaign: are you really trying to lose the conservative vote?

Posted at 7:36pm on Apr. 5, 2008 Taliban complaining because Sarkozy will not keep campaign promise. GOOD!

By ConservativePartyNow

Apparently Nick Sarkozy has "reneged" on a plan not to send more troops to Afghanistan and the Taliban is upset.Hmm. Apparently that puts the Taliban in the same circle as the current Dem candidates

Posted at 12:39pm on Mar. 3, 2008 Can McCain do in '08 what Reagan could not in '84?

By ConservativePartyNow

I recently watched some video from the 1984 elections, as well as the election night results, and the big question on everybody's lips were, "Is it possible that Reagan could have a 50-state sweep?"

Well, we know from history the Mondale did not let that happen by taking his home state of Minnesota, as well as DC.

And I know this is early on and still nine months from the general election and anything can happen, but could McCain possibly get that 50 state sweep that Reagan never could.

Posted at 4:00pm on Feb. 25, 2008 You say global warming, I say Phooey!

By ConservativePartyNow

Apparently Mother Nature was not notified about about her impending doom and the global warming that is taking place all around here. I reminded of that this morning, when instead of the clear skies and high of 50 degrees expected for today, I awoke to about 2.5 inches of new snow overnight, and it was still snowing.

I have never been a big believer in the theory or global warming, (even if my president does. I think on this I have a right to disagree with the governement.),but that the Earth goes in cycles. And it was never evident this article that found discussing that the Earth was cooler by .3 degrees than the average for the 20th Century, and the fact that in the Northern Hemisphere, there is more snow on the ground now, than in the last 40 years.

Posted at 12:18pm on Feb. 20, 2008 The Democrats don't want to protect our troops

By ConservativePartyNow

http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/boeingaerospace/2004190848_armyboeing20.html
The democrats feel now that it is not enough not to support the war, but they now want to cut something that has been working for the troops that actually protect our men and women.

It is becoming increasingly clear that this is not your grandfather's Democratic party anymore. They are ready to get rid of the MRAP that has been protecting our troops and keeping our troops from being blown up.

Posted at 1:20am on Feb. 8, 2008 Vote John McCain- for the good of the party!

By ConservativePartyNow

Wow. I cannot believe I just said that, but since Fred is no longer running, why not his friend. I have said before that I am a conservative first, and a Republican second. However, I am still a Republican and plan to be to my dying breath.

I really wish Fred was going to be the nominee, but alas.

Ok, now that I have that out of the way, I really feel that a vote for John McCain is a vote for our party. And the way I look at it, he is now the best that we have. And anyone who says that they would rather vote for Hillary than John needs to stop sniffing so much glue.

Posted at 3:28pm on Feb. 6, 2008 McCain's VP Choice (Open Thread) [Closed]

By ConservativePartyNow

Since McCain will be our nominee, who do you think would be a good running mate for him. I can think of a few that would be good. Remember it also must be someone that is an attack dog as to not make McCain look mean or scathe him. Here a re a few: Fred. Newt. JC Watts. darkhourse: Sonny Perdue. Who do you think would be good.

We prefer diary submissions to have more than a few sentences, because some people put hours of work into their diaries, and it's just not right for an Open Thread to push them down.

Posted at 1:29pm on Feb. 6, 2008 McCain could still win and get the conservatives to follow

By ConservativePartyNow

After yesterday, everybody screeching and all, I began to see the outlook and realized as a conservative that John McCain may possibly even get my vote (I vehemently disagree with Ann Coulter that Hillary is better than McCain).

However, he must do some things and he must work and I mean WORK to get get my vote.

Here are a few things he must do:
1. Make a promise that he will only serve for 4 years(he has already mentioned this)

Posted at 12:19pm on Feb. 1, 2008 Why I oppose McCain!

By ConservativePartyNow

I will call him a lot of names that people say about him, that's just wrong. And I will say on the outset that how he served in Vietnam was nothing less than HONORABLE! He was a GREAT soldier in the war for our nation. However, I do have some serious issues with him beyond just the judges that a lot are talking about. And I will short and concise on the details why I oppose him.

1. In 2001, he considered becoming a Democrat so that he could be in the majority in the senate.
