By CSUFBomb
In Robert Novak's book, "The Prince of Darkness", he recalls a paper he wrote in 1973 about the transformation of journalists into advocates.
Specifically, he identified seven axioms shared by the Washington press corps that uniformly influenced their reporting on most issues in the 70's:
1. Anti-Vietnam War
2. Reduction of defense spending
3. Environmental protection rather than economic growth

By CSUFBomb
According to the Los Angeles Times, a Democrat ceases to be a Democrat when he has a sexual harassment suit filed against him.
See if you can find any mention of John Burton's party affiliation when he was roaming the halls of Sacramento. No? Probably just an oversight.

The Democrats are busily patting themselves on the back for their willingness to spend other people’s money to gift their dependent voters with “free” health care. However, another health care crisis in America that affects 63% of US households is being ignored by the cold-hearted Democrat majority.
According to an article earlier this year in the Boston Globe…

Do you yearn for the days of Amway? Nostalgic about pyramid schemes?
According to The Financial Times, there's a new scam in town.
Companies and individuals rushing to go green have been spending millions on "carbon credit" projects that yield few if any environmental benefits.
While Gore-mania has always reeked of political opportunism, if not economic blackmail, there is one segment of the economy that has been thriving.

You're walking down a darkened street. There's no one around except you and your fears. Suddenly, someone jumps from the shadows and viciously attacks. You fight back until the attacker finally runs away. Lying on the sidewalk, you may be hurt and bleeding, but you're still breathing.
Before you lift yourself from the pavement, you're blinded by a dozen television cameras. A dozen talking heads blame you for a catastrophic security failure.

Posted at 7:57pm on Feb. 15, 2007 Hillary wants congressional approval? Okay, on one condition…
By CSUFBomb
In a tone of voice that is surely etched into former president Clinton’s cheatin’ heart, Senator Hillary Clinton yesterday warned President Bush that he cannot take military action against Iran without first getting congressional approval:
"If the administration believes that any, any use of force against Iran is necessary, the president must come to Congress to seek that authority.”
In the spirit of bipartisan cooperation, I’d like to offer an appropriate response from President Bush:

...it's an anti-war Imam.
Husham Al-Husainy, a Dearborn Imam, gave the following invocation at DNC's winter meeting:
"Help us God to liberate and fill this earth with justice and peace and love and equality. And help us to stop the war and violence, and oppression and occupation. Amen."
I'll make a deal with Nancy's new pet Imam. If he can "liberate" the Middle East from the tyranny of Islamic extremists, teach "love" for the Jews, bring "equality" to the MSM, stop the "war and violence" in Darfur and Gaza, and end the Syrian "oppression and occupation" of Lebanon, I'll support his agenda.

By CSUFBomb
After more than a year on Red State, this is my first venture into blogging, so pardon the formatting potholes, etc.
There was a very provocative interview on salon.com with Camille Paglia - renowned Democrat, feminist and self-proclaimed sexpert. While she covers familiar ground in bashing Bush and the Iraq war, she also has some refreshingly harsh words for her allies on the Left.
On Mark Foley...
