IRAN PREPARES AGAINST WAR!

The country of Iran is known to export but two products; Oil and Terrorism. It is the former that pays for the latter. The Iranian nuclear activities have aroused fears that the nation is seeking a third export. As concern grows within the world community of the intentions of Iran to achieve nuclear power, Iran is making preparations in the advent of war.

Once again the UN has wielded its power, reiterating through Resolution 1737 its deep concern over the Iranian nuclear program.

Read on . . .

From the Resolution:

Reiterating its serious concern that the IAEA Director General’s report of 27 February 2006 (GOV/2006/15) lists a number of outstanding issues and concerns on Iran’s nuclear programme, including topics which could have a military nuclear dimension, and that the IAEA is unable to conclude that there are no undeclared nuclear materials or activities in Iran,

This very serious Resolution follows Resolution 1696 passed in July which states:

Noting with serious concern that the IAEA Director General’s report of 27 February 2006 (GOV/2006/15) lists a number of outstanding issues and concerns on Iran’s nuclear programme, including topics which could have a military nuclear dimension, and that the IAEA is unable to conclude that there are no undeclared nuclear materials or activities in Iran,

Since February of 2006 the UN has been deeply concerned about Iranian nuclear proliferation, and has taken concrete steps to curtail that program. Lest you mistakely assume that I have inadvertently copied the same resolution over, the wording of the two resolutions, passed six months apart are exactly the same! In other words, "It ain't me, its them!"

The immediate response from Iran has been predictable.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Tuesday that if ill-wishers and opponents of Iran's progress and development insist on their wrong stance against Tehran, they will humiliatingly have to accept the truth from the Iranian nation.

In further remarks, he suggests that it is Iran that is seeking justice in the world, and the US and the West that are the aggressors.

"They wage wars and fan nuclear arms race in order to plunder the wealth of nations." The arrogant powers always try to sow discord among nations and do not respect their rights, he said adding that they only think about their own interests.

"The bullying powers, one day, supported the criminal Saddam for the sake of their own interests and the other day executed him for the very same reason," the president added.

His tough words were immediately taken up by official government spokesmen.

Government spokesman Gholamhossein Elham, echoing the tough line taken by Iranian leaders, indicated on Tuesday that Iran might cold-shoulder the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) by quitting the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).

“It is up to the government to decide whether it wants to pull out of the NPT, if pressured,” Elham told a weekly news conference. Iran’s parliament reacted to the UN sanctions by passing a bill on Wednesday obliging the government to “revise” its level of cooperation with the IAEA and to accelerate its drive to master nuclear technology.

Punctuating their rhetoric with action, Iran has continued the process of arming its “peaceful” nuclear facilities with missiles purchased from our ally the Russians.

At least half of the 29 Tor-M1 missile systems bought by Iran for 1.4 billion dollars (1.06 billion euros) had been delivered, state-run ITAR-TASS quoted an unnamed source at the defense ministry as saying Tuesday.

"We are actively carrying out deliveries of the system to Iran. At least 50 percent of the contract has been delivered," the official was quoted as saying.

As the United Nations postures, Ahmadinejad put the Resolution in perspective. He realizes how toothless the UN really is.

"The resolution lacks validity and is completely political and unlawful," he told the cheering audience.

"It is a political resolution adopted under pressure from the United States and Britain, although the content of the resolution is not very significant.

"It was adopted with two objectives. Firstly, to create psychological war and propaganda against Iran and also to give an opportunity to scare some people inside the country under the pretext of a hollow resolution."

A defiant Ahmadinejad addressed a crowd on the last leg of his tour of all 24 provinces of the Iranian nation. His words, although seemingly restrained, once again spoke of prophesy, reiterating his belief that it is his role to bring about the world Islamic Caliphate, and the return of the last Imam.

He added that the main problem with humanity is the powers, who dissociate themselves from prophets and are selfish, choosing domination and hostility.

This last quote is a clear reference to his role in prophesy. Whether we in the west wish to believe or not, the fact that Ahmadinejad believes, and that he holds the reigns of power in Iran, are reasons for concern.

If, as word is beginning to leak out of Iran, the Supreme Ruler Ali Khamenei is near death, his successor might tell us much about the direction we can expect to see that country take.

The names of three possible successors to Khamenei are currently on the lips of Iranians: Khamenei's son, Mojtaba; Iran's former reformist president, Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani; and Gholam Ali Mesbah Yazdi, the ultra-conservative ayatollah who is considered the spiritual father of Iran's current hardline president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

If the new Supreme leader turns out to be Gholam Ali Mesbah Yazdi, we can expect to see Ahmadinejad to be emboldened even more, as all restraints against him within Iran will be removed.
