Article III, Section 3 of the Constitution - "Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort."
Ken Taylor has penned a very good piece at The HinzSight Report about our own "Miss America," Nancy Pelosi.

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi is once again considering making diplomatic overtures with a country that the President and the State Department, (who Constitutionally set foreign policy for the nation), have stated that any dialogue is not in the best interests of The United States.
Pelosi along with Representative Tom Lantos, (D, CA), are seriously considering a trip to Iran to open a diplomatic dialogue with the rogue state that the President's foreign policy considers a terrorist state and has repeatedly stated that until Iran gives up its nuclear ambitions The United States will NOT have a dialogue with Tehran.
Pelosi's recent trip to Damascus and her one on one meeting with Assad was an embarrassment to the nation...While her trip to Damascus was not authorized Assad considered it a State visit because of her position.
And therein lies the danger. While Pelosi sees it as an opportunity to embarrass the President, other world leaders see it as American Foreign policy.

Every politician out there ought to keep at least one thing in mind as they go hither and thither -- and that is, how will what they do and what they say be portrayed by the other side in election commercials.
And you know the commercials are coming.
Pelosi's little tea party with Assad is already making her look foolish and the campaign hasn't even heated up yet.
The outcry over her potentially treasonous visit to Syria may have convinced her that a visit to Iranian pirates "would not be prudent at this time."
I'm sickened by Tom Lantos would even consider meeting with the little fascist in Teheran.

To be honest about it though, I don't think Pelosi cares about most of the uproar, including the Logan Act. It's because opinions about that seem to break on party lines, so there's no impact.
But what makes the difference, and what she seems to fear, is charges of being anti-Israel. That would explain why every other sentence of her recent remarks mentioned that the other Democrat was a Holocaust survivor.
That's why I think looking at the bigger picture, like treason as mentioned here, is important. To make it work, the Democrats need to be confronted as being pro-terrorist, anti-Israel, anti-military, and anti-US, rather than focusing just on the Logan Act.
My what productive and intelligent comments on this site. It is sad the postings here are listed in the news...of course so are many other right wing follies....anyone up to being the war czar? What a joke.
Since the New Deal, Republicans have been on the wrong side of every issue of concern to ordinary Americans; Social Security, the war in Vietnam, equal rights, civil liberties, church- state separation, consumer issues, public education, reproductive free

Pelosi must think that the Libs will hold power in this country until kingdom comes. Otherwise she would realize the old adage, "what goes around, comes around." If she succeeds in making the presidency a quaint figurehead, her own cohorts will suffer should they get elected. Is she so sure the American people wholeheartedly agree with her and will continue the liberal reign?
Her unspeakable immorality makes me cross eyed!
