AND IF THAT CHARGE BY LARRY SINCLAIR IS TRUE -- HOW ABOUT THE REST OF HIS CHARGES!
Earlier today while searching through internet blogs, I was made aware of a story that Barack Obama bought, and smoked crack cocaine with Larry Sinclair in Chicago in 1999. He then, according to Sinclair, allowed Sinclair to engage in oral sex with him.
I have spent the better part of the day trying to find ANY mainstream media notice of this story, or even a well-known internet source that I would consider to be credible. I found several internet references to the story.
World Net Daily ran with the story on Feb 17, under the headline, Sleaze charge: 'I took drugs, had homo sex with Obama' The World Net Daily article links to a youTube video Sinclair has made, along with some details about a lawsuit he has filed against Obama, and the Democrat Party.
"My motivation for making this public is my desire for a presidential candidate to be honest," Sinclair told WND by telephone. "I didn't want the sex thing to come out. But I think it is important for the candidate to be honest about his drug use as late as 1999."

One RonPaul™ Kooksite mentions the story, while railing against the US Government for not impeaching President Bush and VP Cheney. That reference takes us to a website that lets us know that the MSM is well aware of the story. The National Enquirer and no less than two Globe Articles, have run with the story.
One of the main reasons that I have been loathe to report the story, is the fact that the majority of the websites that have featured the story appear to be closely aligned to Hillary Clinton.
The World Net Daily article mentions his willingness to take a polygraph, which he subsequently took. Depending on which website you are willing to believe he either failed it, proving he was a liar, failed it proving that the test was rigged by an Obama supporter, or, according to some reports, he passed the test.
The World Net Daily article ALSO makes no mention of Sinclair having a police record, although other sites have him being guilty in the past of several felonies, including fraud.
He apparently has a website of his own although it reads a lot like someone who is, well, smoking crack.
I'm sorry, but I don't buy it. There's a reason why "smoking crack" is a slang term for "engaging in bizarre and senseless public behaviors": if he was smoking rock, we'd know. It'd be reallllly obvious. Shoot, the poor SOB can't even fall off the nicotine wagon without people noticing.
As for the gay sex thing... I can't help but notice that the only person who has said that he's had some with Obama is a guy who, well, smokes crack. :)

I have been following this story for several weeks. I have also watched the Obama slime machine working overtime to discredit Larry Sinclair's story. Larry was upfront and honest about his history of illegal activity, when he first spoke out about this.
That being said, with the criminal activity that Larry has always admitted to, why then would the Obama camp find it necessary to make up lies about Larry? Why did they find it necessary lie for an innocent man, if Obama is innocent?
They first came out and said Larry was in a mental hospital during the time he was saying he was with Obama. When Larry provided receipts for his stay at a Chicago hotel during those dates, proving he was NOT in a mental hospital, Obama people moved on to blackmail and even death threats.
For you to criticize his blog is little....well you know. He's no writer, knew nothing of blogs, and has had to rely on his own means of getting this story out to the public.
This article is also a well balanced written account of the story. I see more and more media outlets reporting on this each day.

Maybe if you DID look at the links we've been sending, your article would have been a little less cynical. For example, it was Obama supporters that originally attached this story to a Ron Paul site. They knew exactly what would happen if they did that...and they were right.

You know, the one who was found murdered in his Chicago apartment on December 23, 2007, and who made several phone calls to Larry Sinclair shortly before he was murdered?

Don't you think she would have already been in front of the cameras with this? I'm not saying that she doesn't know about it, because she most probably does. People following this story have also posted on Hillary sites. But the reason for all of that is simply to get answers. Maybe you could work on that for us?
I have never bought into the whole "conspiracy theory" garbage. I understand the fact that this story is easy to disbelieve...it has all the ingredients of a "conspiracy theory."
But doesn't your curiosity or instinct tell you there might be something there? That it might be worth your time to the least, maybe speak to Larry? If you a least spoke to him, and still felt he's a loon...then so be it. Even if you didn't find him credible or sincere in what he says, at least that's a fair way of reporting on this story.
from the things HE has posted on his own website, it looks dangerous (as in lawsuit) to talk to him, unless you immediately accept and agree with him 100%. He brags on that site about bringing lawsuits against bloggers, and, what I find puzzling, the icons used on his site for a couple of bloggers he is disputing, have "Vote for McCain" on them.
This looks to me, as though he, OR SOMEONE, is trying to tar McCain supporters with the story...which once again, is why I am loathe to get too wrapped up in its authenticity. It would be JUST LIKE HILLARY to start something like this, then blame it on the VRWC so that THEY (read;US) can bring him down, and she can remain above it all.
THAT could well be the reason SHE doesn't use it, because she started the whole thing, and KNOWS it to be false.

If I hadn't witnessed this "cover-up" myself, I would have never believed it. Even if this story goes down as urban legend, it should have been reported. Everyone who has access to a media microphone knows about this story - yet, no one wants to be PC scarred for bringing forth the "news". Nobody cares that youtube purposely altered the # of hits on Sinclair's video, so that it would never be reported as one of the top 5 viewed? And a youtube moderator stating that the video was not suitable for general audiences? It isn't newsworthy that a black, gay, choir director of Jeremiah Wright's Trinity Church was murdered in his home around Christmas last year? And that Obama sent a letter of condolence to be read at his funeral? And that Sinclair had spoken to Donald Young before his death? Code Pink Nuts get air-time... Rosie's conspiracy theory that we blew up our own buildings on 9/11 is reported... NYTimes false accusations about McCain and an affair was printed... UFO's, 3 breasted women, ... and how about that guy who was labeled "person of interest"... Don't these stories hurt somebody? If this story was total bunk, Obama could have squashed it the minute it came out... but now, there is fear our cities will BURN, if HOPE is destroyed. I hope we don't wait until the general election to discover Obama is just a prop.

I can multi-task, too. Just paying attention here to Operation Chaos and wondering how easy it would be for this to be successful, if someone who prides themselves in knowing how to do investigative reporting, could find one or two threads of truth. We only need 5%... Okay, so you know about the story, and you think it is worthless. So, shouldn't everyone have the same opportunity?
If the MSM, the bloggers, the savagepolitics, etc, don't think there is a story behind all of Mr. Sinclair's allegations, why is it finding feet everywhere, except the MSM? Someone asked why, somewhat sarcastically, the MSM would be scooped by a network in Puerto Rico, check out the network (and the shows) history. It is the top show on the island, and the network is highly regarded. For those who may not be awrae, despite the fact that Puerto Rico is not a state, it does hold a primary for our Presidential election and does send delegates to the conventions.
As mrje said above, if this journalistic quandry had not been witnessed firshand, I too wouldn't believe it. I, too, had doubts about Mr. Sinclair's story, but after seeing this play out as it has, it is apparent that he is the real deal. The story here is not just the Sinclair-Obama-Wright-Obama-Young connection, but the blatant manipulation of this election by the press in its journalistic efforts (or lack thereof).
And anyone can register and write a diary at Red State.
The presence of the story in a diary here gives it no credibility. None.

It took a whole year for the MSM to address the Rev Wright story that Sean Hannity talked about last year....now I am not saying the story is true or not but the lack of exposure on the MSM does not negate the "truthiness" of it.

To correct my prior post, savagepolitics presented a fair account of the Sinclair story, and a positive reasoning as to why it should be addressed through the MSM as well.
When I posted here this morning for the first time, my intention was to try to get this story of Larry Sinclair out to the public. It was to inform American voters nothing else. I have never SPAMMED, I don't even know what that is. I am a 65 yr. old retired nurse, wife, mother and grandmother. The tone of the posts here is insulting. Take the info or laugh at it and leave it. Just remember, I told you so. I am cancelling my membership so you have your good ole boys club back to yourselves.
It is the desire not to push these apparently "insane" stories that has gotten you the responses you have received. I personally would allow the Hillary campaign to push these "morality" stories and I would rather see the diaries here questioning Obama's lack of patriotism and experience and his marxism...which by the way are easier to prove by his own words and actions.

Did you ever give it any thought that Mr. Sinclair is quite possibly one of the most honest people any of us could possibly hope to know? Lets be realistic-- who would put themselves through the bull that he has if this were not true.
The point is being made that if this story was about a Republican, it would be all over the place. THAT is true. At the same time, there is some sort of perverted pride thing going on here, that will not allow either side of the aisle, to bring this up. Afraid of losing their jobs?? this was part of the reason I hesitated to write it up in the first place, and was careful to view the whole thing with a sceptic eye. THE STORY SMELLS like a Clinton campaign trick. It COULD be true...but it smells bad.
Just like everything else the Clintons have done politically for the past 20 years.
I do NOT want the Hillary campaign to turn around and point the finger at the VRWC and make the claim that THEY started the story. This is probably a Clinton Psych-Ops from the get-go, and I would not be a bit surprised to learn that savagepolitic gets most of its funding directly from a Hillary Clinton funded organization.
BUT, the story IS out there, being talked about in more than a few circles, and so I DID write the piece. I am still a sceptic.

Respectfully Mr Hinz, the attitude of "hesitation" because it "Smells" is precisley the problem. Are so afraid that Mr. Sinclair might be true, and that Sen. Obama cannot combat the publicity. Anyway, Hunter S. Thompson told of a story from LBJ's campaign war room where one of the functionaries suggested spreading a rumor that the opponent had (redacted) a pig.

A little naive I am, as I NEVER thought my "party" would be in question.. I'm a newby. I guess you're embarrassed ... I was just waiting for a more credible site to talk about this, but there doesn't seem to be much interest.

I didn't realize I had to come in and make friends, first. If I were Hines, I would delete the article.. I can tell you that Rush does a much better job at detecting fake Conservatives. I guess I feel like there is a time constraint here... if this story carries one shred of truth, and it is discovered AFTER he is the dem candidate... then who can be blamed for the fallout? Of course, they forgive everybody for everything..

because the Dem's think he is the end all!!! Chris Matthews gets tears in his eyes when he hears him speak! This guy doesn't stand for ANYTHING..! I keep praying that the young folks who usually do NOT turn out to vote, CONTINUE their history when the general comes along! McCain is so close to the CENTER that I am concerned that votes for Obama and McCain, could be interchangeable! I don't have the confidence in the public to take time to HEAR that he is hollow! Could you clarify-- you seem to be bashing some of us here for questioning Senator Obama, and in believing in the probability of the truthfulness of Mr. Sinclair, but the immediate post above leads me to believe that you would like to VOTE for Obama, but that your vote would actually be against McCain. Would that be the fair assessment of the statement? And I fully understand if you wish not not express an answer either way.
I will state, though, that the Junior Senator from Illinois, when asked about a Presidential run for 2008 during the 2004 convention, said that he would not be doing that because he would not have the experience necessary to do the job by that time........ what changed Senator Obama?

anyway, IF I was a Clinton plant... I would bypass this site and target the YOUTH VOTE, because they cannot help themselves to expose everything or anything, that gives the landscape of the current... for immediate gratification... THAT would be the their ultimate goal....so I think you should DELETE this particular article, before "they" find it. Your site does carry some weight... and they CAN blame this exposure on "it". The Sinclair-Obama-Wright-Obama-Young story does not automatically mean that the party who is following it, or has now come to believe that it is probably true, is a Hillary supporter, even a McCain supporter. In this particular instance, Sen. Obama has held himself to a higher standard, and our media has gone out of their way to make sure that all news articles are in a favorable light to Sen. Obama. If this matter had no substance whatsoever, the Obama camp would have had it resolved months ago.
