Posted at 4:22pm on Jan. 22, 2008 Time for a Conservative Party?
By dba31498
When we look at what has gone on in the political parties for the last 20 years, there has been a movement from the principles that made this country great.
I remember several years ago, at the Democratic convention where a governor was not allowed to speak because he believed in conservative principles.
The between 1992 to 2004, the Democratic party went from a place where Zell Miller gave the keynote at the Democratic convention to giving the keynote at the GOP convention because his party had left the conservative principles behind.

Posted at 1:05pm on Jan. 18, 2008 Fred Thompson is the most electable candidate in the race!
By dba31498
Ok this will be an open thread and I want hear back from as many as possible. I think Fred Thompson is the most electable GOP candidate running, and by this he is the only one that can unite all factions of the party the way that Reagan did.
And I have seen tons of people say that his is their 2nd choice, in fact more people have said that he is there 2nd choice more than any other candidate. And my question is if you like him so much, why not for your 1st choice.

Posted at 6:56pm on Jan. 14, 2008 People are over dealing with amnesty, yeah right, keep believing that
By dba31498
John McCain and lot of RINO's in the GOP think that the party has evolved to a place where people are past thinking of illegal immigration as an issue. Yeah right. Think again. This clearly shows that people even way up north in MI consider it an important issue for our party.
Kudos goes to MM and Hota

Posted at 7:55pm on Jan. 9, 2008 Religious Racism is alive in America?
By dba31498
I must preface by saying that Mitt is my send choice among the candidates and I am not a Mormon. However, people have talked about whether people from other religions are involved in the election process, and the debate has been this year whether America is ready for a woman, african-american, or someone who is may from somewhere other than mainline Christianity.
When I look at how Hillary is doing, yes I think America is ready for a woman, president, just hopefully not here.

Posted at 2:35pm on Jan. 8, 2008 Proof that McCain is a liberal!
By dba31498
Has anyone noticed the photo of McCain on the Drudge Report. It shows McCain holding a placard for the Carbon Coalition, and when you go their website and see their supporters, number one on the list is the Sierra Club, that great GOP supporter!

Posted at 1:54pm on Jan. 7, 2008 Hunter to withdraw?
By dba31498
Duncan Hunter has announcement set for 2PM today. Could he be dropping out? More than likely if he does, his support will do to Fred since they are more closely aligned than other campaigns.

Posted at 1:18pm on Jan. 7, 2008 After NH, a prediction
By dba31498
After NH, I say that whoever does not win between McCain and Romney is pretty much gone, since they will not do well in SC. Possibly more so Mitt than McCain. I do feel that Paul will beat Huckabee, and that he will be gone soon since he is pretty much out of money, and I did hear that Fred will more than likely get 3rd or 4th there. Pretty good for someone who is not even campaigning there.
I really feel that SC will go the person who has the best organization there, and I think that will be Fred Thompson.

Posted at 7:05pm on Jan. 4, 2008 WY Right to Life endorses Fred
By dba31498
On the day before the GOP Caucus, the WY Right to Life endorses Fred. As it goes right now, it appears that Romney and Fred will be very close on this one as to who will have the most delegates. SW Wyoming is very much Mormon country(where I think Mitt will do well there), but get outside and into the rest of the state is not as much, and I expect Fred to do better there. There are twelve delegates at stake.
I predict:
Fred 7

Posted at 1:29am on Jan. 4, 2008 So where do we stand after Iowa
By dba31498
OK Folks this is the way I look at it:
I think tonite was a wake up call for conservatives in the GOP. Are we going to let those that claim to be and are not to take control of our party that we love so much? I say no way.
Tonite was only an eye opener that unless we do something, not just as Fred supporters but also as conservatives, that the party the Reagan renewed will become a shell of what it was, and will not be much different than the Democratic party.
