Condé Nast Portfolio exposes two U.S. Senators, two former Cabinet members, and a former ambassador to the United Nations, who got favorable mortgage terms from Countrywide Financial.

Among them: Sen. Christopher Dodd, Sen. Kent Conrad, former HUD Secretary Alphonso Jackson, former Secretary of Health and Human Services Donna Shalala, and former U.N. ambassador Richard Holbrooke.

Jim Johnson, the man leading Sen. Barack Obama's vice presidential search team, was forced to step aside earlier this week after news that he also received favorable treatment from Countrywide.

Its time for Republicans to keep on hitting home here!

if a) peopleknow about it; and b) people care about it. I submit that neither condition will be met in this case --- or any case involving a Democrat.

Why would God invent something like whiskey? To keep the Irish from ruling the world of course.

I wonder if the Democrat connection regarding any and all scandals is why the media WHOLLY dropped the "DC Madam" case when she released the names of her 'clients'

They were all abuzz about what REPUBLICANS would be on that list.... I wonder if there were too many (or just the wrong) Democrat names on that list.

Dependence is Slavery.

Well neither of the news outlets in ND or CT are even making this an issue but if it was Republicans they sure as hell would.
