Jim Ogonowski's third television ad of the campaign features his sister in-law Peg Ogonowski, wife of John Ogonowski who piloted American Airlines Flight 11. She talks about how Jim held her family together and saved her family farm after the events of 9/11.
Please consider donating to Jim's campaign to keep this ad running.
I hope more people from around the country can find a few dollars to donate to Jim's campaign. Perhaps they don't realize how pivotal and courageous it is that Ogonowski is mounting a successful challenge to the Democratic Machine in this state. In many ways his campaign is more significant than Michael Steele's was in Maryland, which is why it has attracted the negative attention of John Kerry.
Jim Ogonowski is going to need the support of Republicans across the country in order to succeed here in Massachusetts. I would like (even though it's becoming tiresome) to once again remind people from sea to shining sea of the current composition of the Massachusetts political establishment:
Governor Deval Patrick (D)
Senator Edward M. Kennedy (D)
Senator John Forbes Kerry (D)
Capuano, Michael E., Massachusetts, 8th (D)
Delahunt, William, Massachusetts, 10th (D)
Frank, Barney, Massachusetts, 4th (D)
Lynch, Stephen F., Massachusetts, 9th (D)
McGovern, James, Massachusetts, 3rd (D)
Markey, Ed, Massachusetts, 7th (D)
Meehan, Marty, Massachusetts, 5th --Vacancy (D)
Neal, Richard E., Massachusetts, 2nd (D)
Olver, John, Massachusetts, 1st (D)
Tierney, John, Massachusetts, 6th (D)
Mayor of Boston Tom Menino
The Democrats hold a supermajority in the State House, the largest of its kind in any state legislature over the Republicans.
Democratic Party 141
Republican Party 19
Total 160
Majority needed 81
The Democrats also hold a supermajority in the State Senate.
Democratic Party 34
Republican Party 5
Vacant 1
Total 40
Majority needed 21
Anyone can see at a glance what kind of a fight Ogonowski is in to even make a serious race out of it in this state. I hope people around the country will help fight for the true underdog and give him their support.
That Edward M. Kennedy's many protestations about "one party rule" and an "imperial presidency" were in fact another projection of the current liberal establishment in his home state. Anyone who didn't realize that the moment he said it, and continues to say it, just isn't looking very closely.
There is nothing closer to a "one-party-rule" state (or more precisely, a Commonwealth) than Massachusetts.

but he's in a state where there's a majority of idiots that keep re-electing imbeciles like Kennedy and whatshisname...
