Obama's Victory Speech Like an Episode of Oprah's Favorite Things (Except When He Talked about Protecting Our Nation)

Last night's victory speech was one of Barack Obama's most narcissistic and cotton candy of all. I wish I had counted how many times he said "change." It was unbelievable even for him -- and he delivered not one concrete way to dispell this "change." He spoke of change like it was a magic pill residing in his clenched fist. He said, essentially, if he were not elected this time around, it could be "too late."

He made unrealistic promises to the crowd, who screamed in response, as if they were in the audience of an episode of Oprah's "Favorite Things." Remember when she gave out the cars? Yeah, except those were tangible items that each audience member actually received. Obama talks about healthcare, education, prosperity for all. He said "no one in America should be poor." So, his idea is to steal money from those who are not and give it to those who are to compensate. How utterly un-American.

The actual ideas coming out his mouth through those eloquent words literally scare me to death. There is a system of earning and also, life is not fair. People, by their own FREE WILL, should be compelled to help the less fortunate. But no one should force us. That's freedom. Freedom allows the story like that of "The Pursuit of Happyness", a great example, and when the government takes more and more of our money, and socializes healthcare, finances, education, etc, it depletes freedom and makes everyone dependent on the government.

“I will not hesitate to strike against anyone who will do us harm…I will do what is required,” Obama told the crowd, whose rabid applause died significantly when he stopped making promises to give them everything a dream world might require.

He talked about “caring for troops when they come home” – nevermind the weary ones soldiering on our behalf across the sea right now. I will end this post with a video that even Obama-worshiper Chris Matthews couldn’t love. Here is Obama supporter state Senator Kirk Watson – completely unable to name ONE of Obama’s legislative accomplishments. Remove the veil Obama supporters.

never seen anywhere except at the conventions.....it is scary...he is that good....I do believe that he can be beaten in the general. I as a conservative just shut him down when he talks about the GWOT because he has no clue....as a lot of liberals don't....they consistantly think that if we just talked to our enemies all would be well....idiots.

Freedom of Religion not Freedom from Religion

in Frank Luntz focus groups of self-described Democrats. When asked these groups, who most were Obama supporters, were unable to list a single Obama accomplishment. I remember one particular focus group where one person said his greatest accomplishment was that he votes as a Senator, another said it was that he inspires, and a third genius said that his greatest accomplishment was that he was black. Like Matthews said, this will be a problem.

And, Olbermann is such a dumb s**t, out-of-the-closet Obamaniac. I bet whenever Obama speaks Olbermann can be found swooning in rhapsodic delight. What an a**hat. I hate that guy.

"Glory is not a conceit. It is not a decoration for valor. Glory belongs to the act of being constant to something greater than yourself, to a cause, to your principles, to the people on whom you rely and who rely on you in return."-Senator McCain

He doesn't swoon-he gets a "tingle" in his leg....I think I just threw up in my mouth.

"Do not yield. Do not flinch. Stand up. Stand up with our President and fight. We're Americans. We're Americans, and we'll never surrender. They will."-John McCain
McCain/Rudy 08-kill the terrorists and punch the hippies.

Name Senator Obama's accomplishments:

Well, he's going to...

No, name ONE accomplishment.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA

Some of the most despicable, misguided acts in history have come from speeches laced with platitudes and socialist visionary. This is an appeal to the intellectually indigent, who can not take solace in plausible, tangible facts and realities. Witness, there is no panacea which awaits you acolytes in what is being said, for if one looks upon the ground on which they stand, the realization would be you are already living within that catholicon; the most free and democratic nation on earth. This preaching is not about any of that. Conversely it is diametrically opposed and designed to rob you of liberty based on promises and an appeal to numismatic redistribution. What callous and fool hearted self extirpation!

This is a well educated man who speaks fondly of a vision which is not based on any lucidly explicated or, what little we know, achievable plans. He is of very little heroic, wise or enlightened accomplishment which shows leadership or an ability to persevere through the tough navigation our nation faces on the road ahead. He incorrectly recounts how this nation can be united under his ignominious stewardship, while echoing the platitudes of disastrous socialist, liberal failures which are in opposition to much of us. Who does that unify and put in confederation? None of us, simply none of us. This will indeed change things my friends, for the worse.

just made a trip to meet with Bashar Assad. Rather than fixating on the comments of his wife, that is what we should be talking about. Also, he voted against the terrorist surveillance program. There is another line of attack. I have long said that the way to beat Obama is to focus on the specific policies that he has proposed. If the Reps focus on his policies, he will be shown for the neophyte lightweight that he is.

Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor

The Provocateur

Take a drink everytime the man uses the words change or hope in a speech.

Change is one of those words that is easy to project your own desires onto. Everyone wouldn't mind something changing, but the reality is do we want the kind of change Obama is proposing? I know I don't.

I wonder how many people hear the word change, but rather than look at what Obama's philosophies are, they simply think the change is in the direction they desire.

even then you might have a problem because we certainly can't be responsible for the drinking death of millions. Even in my college days I don't think I could make it through more than 10 minutes of one of his speeches....

...and that's only because it does take some time for the alcohol to pass into the blood stream and through the blood-brain barrier.

And Rightly So!

What an idiot!
He still couldn't really list specifics.
And curiously enough, he neglected to note Obama's leadership in the IL Senate wrt letting babies born alive die if the mother didn't want them. Shame for shame!
