By Goldwater Conservative

Last night, as I was listening to Clinton and Obama give there rhetoric-laden screeches, one thing becomes crystal clear in the continual theme that comes out of their mouth: we are losing the PR battle in the war on class. Democrats and their willing accomplices in the media constantly beat the drum of the evil rich vs. the poor victimized middle class of America. And how do we conservatives answer this barrage? Cue the crickets chirping.

By Goldwater Conservative

According to the New York Post today, Michael Bloomberg is claiming voter fraud in the "undercounting" of Obama votes in New York back on Super Tuesday. This strikes me as strange at first, but when you play it out, I think I see exactly what is going on here. Bloomberg is a liberal, no doubt about it, and he wants to be a part of the 2008 elections and he has $1 Billion burning a whole in his pocket.

Posted at 11:27am on Feb. 15, 2008 Waterboarding, is this really an issue we want to stand behind in '08?

By Goldwater Conservative

I am constantly amazed at the animosity towards John McCain by so called "principle conservatives". The reasons are well documented, McCain-Feingold, McCain-Kennedy, global warming, gang of 14, statements relating to class envy. But one argument I think we conservatives need to drop, like a hot potato, is ripping McCain for his principled opposition to waterboarding.

Waterboarding, is it torture, is it not? I don't know technically, but I do know that the United States of America should go out of its way to avoid anything that even looks like torture. We are the light to the rest of the world, if our standards and principles fall, then there is little hope for the rest of the world. Does waterboarding work? Probably so, but does the end justify the means? Just because our enemies will stoop to any level, does not mean that we should follow them in turn. We cannot win the war on terror if we use forms of terror to achieve that victory.
