Governor Paterson, Al Sharpton and Drugs

It has been another whirl wind day surrounding Gov. Paterson and his escapade. It has become an escapade, it's no longer gossip and innuendo. And so the story continues like this.
After receiving some very bad advice from his long time and now former friend, former NYC Deputy Mayor Bill Lynch, and exposing his seemly underbelly, it seems our esteemed new Governor turned to another long time friend for advice this past weekend, Saturday to be exact, the right Reverend Al Sharpton. We do not yet know what advice he was seeking, and can't imagine what the Reverend would be able to tell him, except about spending campaign cash without gettig caught.
Yes, it does continue below, unfortunately.
For such a seemingly intelligent man, he seems unable to make intelligent decisions when choosing advisers. Speaking of intelligence, Paterson was unable to pass the NY Bar exam, claiming his handicap got in the way. There are many blind lawyers in NY and a long time friend of mine passed the bar while suffering from MS.
His demonstrated lack of intelligence thus far in his short career in the lime-light of the full Governorship will more then likely prove to be more then he can handle.
It seems like life itself is more then he can handle, as Paterson now admits to using cocaine and marijuana when he was younger. Why would an intelligent man keep admitting to all of his indiscretions?
Coming from a powerful Democratic family in Harlem seems to be the only reason David Paterson has gotten as far as he has in New York State politics. Before riding Spitzer's coattails into the state house, Paterson having been a state senator since 1985, failed in his bids for New York City public advocate and for Manhattan borough president.
The 1979 amendments to the Federal Election Campaign Act, made it clearly illegal to use campaign funds for personal use of the candidate or any other person. As a reporter for the NY Sun so eloquently worded it, "The klieg lights are on Mr. Paterson," and they are proving to be very revealing as to Mr. Paterson's abilities to continue as an effective Governor for New York, if he continues at all.
I for one think it's time for Governor Paterson to give an accounting of his campaign expenditures, honestly and under oath. If that happens, I am certain there will be a new election for Governor before the next scheduled elections in New York.

This guy is going to wear you out. I don't think I've seen one person post this much on one topic in my 1/2 a year here.
Keep up the good work.

Since moving back to NY after many years, I came to the conclusion that things could not get worse, given the rate of companies and individuals leaving in droves thanks to the taxes that keep spiraling upward. Recent events reveal that I'm wrong -- things actually can and have gotten worse.
Everything is taxed here - - except the Indians and the last Governor (Spitzer) was on the track to making sure they had a chunk of land to set up revenue making machines called casinos and taking away tax revenue property from communities - - all in the name of political correctness (and future campaign donations). He, of course, had promised during his campaign that he would 'protect' the tax paying population, but could hardly wait to betray that trust.
It gives me no hope to learn that his Lt. Governor is also a crook -- but I can't imagine why I would have thought differently upon reflexion.
New York State is an incredibly beautiful place - - with thousands of lakes and lovely towns and cities. It is been systematically destroyed by liberal policies and corrupt politicians.
When all is said and done, we should be 'saving the planet' by making certain our social and political policies protect our culture instead of destroying it.

Use the "Democratic Governors" tag so I don't have to keep adding it. ;)
