Over at .45 Caliber Politics we have just posted a story about Felipe Sixto and his brief stay in the White House.
Only 20 days into his new Washington Cabinet post and Felipe Sixto was forced to resign because of misuse of grant money from the U.S. Agency for International Development when he worked for a Cuban democracy organization.
He was promoted to the position less then 3 weeks ago as a special assistant to President Bush for intergovernmental affairs and stepped forward on March 20 to reveal his alleged wrongdoing and to resign.
Sixto and was assigned, in July of 2007 to deal with state legislators, Native American groups and Hispanic officials on issues such as Cuba, Puerto Rico, health, labor, transportation, the environment and energy as a member of the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs.
I am glad this guy is gone, however I feel sorry for the Cuban exiles that counted on his help, instead of helping them he was stealing money dedicated to helping them.
