By Harold Vaughn

As a result of the recent post entitled “Tear Down this Wall: I Just Saw Expelled” by Tom Bombadil I felt led as a Christian to search the internet for any thing about how science and Christianity are compatible and I found a very lengthy and very detailed article Christianity and Science ARE Compatible. I’m not sure if anyone has ever posted a link to the article before, but I thought I would share it.

Posted at 10:37am on Feb. 8, 2008 Strong Conservatives still have a voice in the Republican Party.

By Harold Vaughn

As Strong Conservatives we need to understand this years electorate. The moderates in both parties are tired of the war between strong liberals and strong conservatives just as much as they are with the war in Irag. This is the only thing that explains how well McCain is doing.

Strong conservatives do not need to despair over this, we're a minority within the party, but we are also a well respected minority. We need not send the wrong message to the party by sitting out in this election and thus loose that respect. We've been the group within our party that has stood in the gap and given the Republican party the support it needed to keep this country from completely going socialist. This is what our founding fathers had in mind when they divided our nations powers, so that minorities such as we could play a more significant role in government. In the past no other nation allowed any room for minorities to have a say. We still have a voice, we still have work to do, and we still have a party that we can get that work done in. Let's not abandon the party that gives us our voice, not now when it needs us the most.

Posted at 12:45pm on Jan. 31, 2008 Could a strong conservative McCain VP choice help conservatism over the next 4 years?

By Harold Vaughn

Disclaimer: Former die hard Fred supporter and now Romney supporter.

It’s a two man race and I think most Republicans have come to grips with the reality that McCain is going to be the nominee. Romney has two major things working against him: one he is a Mormon and two he is a conservative newbie. I just don’t think he’s going to overcome these problems in the next few days. It’s unfortunate, but just look at the polling that’s out, he’s just not getting enough support.

Posted at 11:47am on Dec. 27, 2007 Why I support Fred Thompson (Substance, Character, & Real Conservatism wins)

By Harold Vaughn

This is the first primary season that I have really watched closely and I know of others that are watching this primary season very closely as well. I think the consensus would agree that it is do largely in fact that Hillary Clinton is running for president. I know that is the reason I am watching closely and I think that is why the Republican primaries are so divided as to who they think can beat her. No one on our side wants her to win!
