So Steve Foley has already told you that our very own Jeff Emanuel is on the finalist's list of the 2007 Weblog Awards in the Military Blog category, and you ALL have benefited from Jeff's work...and his sacrifices and his talent in getting the truth out of a hell the Media refuses to correctly portray.
So, with all he's done for us, just exactly WHEN will you cast your vote of support and show your gratitude for his efforts?
I say, go NOW...
Just do it NOW. As we say in my neck of the woods, belly up and throw it back...
You'll be glad you did.
Doesn't come close to repayment for the job he's doing... but it's a start.

somehow, he has an incredible 106.3% of the votes cast thus far....
Jeff, thanks for putting your butt on the line...you do a great service for the troops and our country.
By the way...is that an Oxford you're wearing in the field?...

Morally Compromised
I read Jeff's Am Spec story and all I can say is wow. That has got to be some of the best writing I have read in a long time. The use of words to make you feel like you were there as a uninvolved close up observer and feel the intensity is amazing. I guess what makes it all the more amazing is that it was real. That simple fact really grabs your heart for what they went through.

given what he has done for us. Thanks, Jeff!
But Jeff has really done particularly good work this year and deserves the recognition.

So I had all of my spam bots vote for Jeff!
That was a joke.
Thanks, Jeff, for the amazing reporting you've done this year.
and I am sure he will win the competetion. In fact, I will go on record and say you ain't seen nothing yet!
Jeff was a member of an elite group of Airmen know as Combat Controllers. I know a lot about CCT and if you remember that picture of the last refugees leaving Sigon, climbing that ladder to the Helicopter? The two guys still on the ground and last to leave were CCT.
I digress, only the best of the best of the best are picked and make it through CCT training. That should tell you much about Jeff's character and why I say you ain't seen nothing yet.

2 November 2007 & 10:50 EDT, Jeff trails his nearest rival/competitor.
Jeff Emanuel - 85 (26.9%)
Michael Yon - 97 (30.7%)
That's completely unacceptable. Every Redstater needs to get with the program and go cast their vote for Jeff...
Now!

I'm not gonna tell you how many Jeff votes I've put up so far. The official answer is "1". But let's just say, there's the WORK computer, the HOME computer, the laptop, my office-manager's computer, my boss's computer -- wait a minute, that's a Speak-and-Spell, I don't think it's got internet.....
