Posted at 12:43am on Jul. 11, 2008 In the Interest of Helping Progressives Recover

By ilitigant

Yes, I know: this piece may not automatically fit RedState, but really, it is relevant.

Progressives (and please don't jump me for using that term, it is what they like to be called and they are already emotional basket cases, so humor them a bit,) are reactionary people. They don't, for the most part, organize into proactive ventures. They don't, say, plan ahead for consequences of their inactions, or actions, for that matter. They see what the right thing should be, to them, and jump right to it. Never mind it takes one step at a time. They don't believe in reaching goals, they believe in imposing them. If a Progressive was a car we might understand a good deal of why they are, as they are.

Posted at 7:10pm on Jul. 10, 2008 The ACLU Goes Court Shopping

By ilitigant

When logic goes to the wind, one has to ask, who's hiding what?

Used to be, when things didn't go your way, you might take your ball and go home. Not today. Today the ACLU thinks it is proper when you lose a game to go play in a different field, and that new game somehow is going to be different than the first game, when you are playing by the same rules, with the same team and in the same game. The Rules of District Courts are the same, regardless of where you file an action, it is only the local rules that differ, and many of the FRCP's are under SCOTUS precedent. But that is ignored by the ACLU.

Posted at 1:42pm on Jul. 10, 2008 FISA Signed and HE SLAMMED DOWN THE PEN!

By ilitigant

I love the man!

George W. Bush has signed the new FISA bill into law and when he did, a determined look came over his face and he

SLAMMED THE PEN onto the table.

GOOD for him!

The window of opportunity is now open.

Let justice prevail.

He slammed the pen after signing a bill.

DANG! This is gonna be good!

Posted at 4:45pm on Jul. 9, 2008 Some quotes of interest from The Kosaks on FISA Passage

By ilitigant

Hey, Its my civic duty to bring enlightenment to the darkness.

  1. Damn. This is a cold, hard day and our "free" press is doing nothing to alert the public of the loss of their 4th Amendment. Very dark times. Very, very dark.
  2. Rape of the Constitution.
  3. Anyone want to start a new country? I'm thinking of calling it "Canada"
  4. Dems f'd us
  5. Barack Obama lied. Plain and simple. He said he would filibuster any legislation that contained retroactive immunity for the telecoms. But he didn't. What else can you call that? And if he can get rolled so quickly on one of the most important pieces of legislation in my lifetime, why should I, or you, or anyone else believe he won't get rolled on issues of less importance?

Posted at 3:36pm on Jul. 7, 2008 Obama Plane Reacts

By ilitigant

From the NYT "Presidential candidate Barack Obama's plane landed unexpectedly in St. Louis on Monday after experiencing a mechanical problem. The pilot of the plane told passengers the problem had to do with 'controllability of the pitch' before landing safely in St. Louis."

Posted at 11:50pm on Jul. 6, 2008 Gee Hillary.. Slick?

By ilitigant

It has come to my attention that after Obama and Hillary asked the 'former' Hillary supporters to donate money to her campaign to help retire her debt, the link provided to do that, was changed, without anyone knowing about it.

Instead of donations going to retire debt, it redirected to her 2012 Senatorial Campaign account. So those people who took the word of their leaders and tried to help Hillary have less debt to deal with, got pushed into unknowingly supporting her 2012 campaign for the Senate.

Posted at 11:13pm on Jul. 6, 2008 CNN Poll Shows Disaster For Progressive Agenda

By ilitigant

A poll published by CNN/Opinion Research Corp. on our Nation's Birthday this year says "69 percent of adult Americans who responded to a poll June 26-29 said the signers of the Declaration of Independence would be disappointed by the way the nation has turned out overall."

Sounds interesting doesn't it?

Twenty Nine percent responded the Founding Fathers would be pleased with the way things are in this country. Sixty Nine percent of adult Americans believe the Founding Fathers of this nation would not be happy with the way it is right now. So what is it they would not be happy with? Is it, as progressive children want us to believe, how bad the war in Iraq is going, how bad President Bush has been for the nation, how much civil liberties have been trampled in the quest to wage a mythical war on a tiny little foreign private group of thugs: is that what the American People are concerned about?

Posted at 11:55am on Jul. 4, 2008 Happy 4th Obama Supporters

By ilitigant

As Think Progress is astounded that "In a recent American Spectator article, former Reagan White House political director and QubeTV founder Jeffery Lord gives his vision of what 'America would look like in an age of Obama.' According to Lord, 'The word is fascism':" we need only remind them that their blind support of a hollow candidate can only mean the following:

Posted at 8:38pm on Jun. 30, 2008 I Love the NBRA

By ilitigant

I received notice of these ads some time ago, and have not said anything about it until now. Since the liberals are having a 'what the' fit about it, I just have to share them.)

The libs are say what?: "And now for a bit of happy hour comic relief. A group called the National Black Republican Association -- which previously achieved minor infamy for some really inflammatory and historically-inaccurate radio ads in the Maryland Senate race -- has set a new goal: Turn African-American voters against Barack Obama. The Huffington Post's Sam Stein reports that the NBRA has unveiled a new set of radio ads that it plans to run in battleground states on black radio stations, but they haven't yet clarified exactly when or how big their buy will be. The ads manage the neat trick of sliming both the Democratic Party as racist and Obama as elitist: Among the ads' more subtle pronouncements: "The Democratic Party is a racist party"; "Today racist Democrats will not vote for Obama, a black man"; "Obama is an arrogant elitist who turned his back on poor blacks and his own country"; "Look beyond Barack Obama's skin color and soaring rhetoric and you will see an arrogant, elitist millionaire"; and "Obama's mentor for 20-years was Rev. Jeremiah Wright who said innocent Americans deserved to die on September 11th. It's unlikely that the NBRA could actually succeed at getting a great number of black voters to choose John McCain -- the ads don't even attempt to positively advocate on McCain's behalf. The ads are probably a last-ditch effort to suppress black enthusiasm for Obama's candidacy and dampen turnout."

Posted at 8:22pm on Jun. 30, 2008 I was waiting for the next towering hit

By ilitigant

The last two days have reminded me of 9/11. A single word attack from a military has-been against John McCain: Wesley Clark was then excused and then rejected by Obama for his comments. That could have been the lunatic Clark is, but as I did on that September day, I waited. Was it isolated?

Nope. Along came Rand Beers, an adviser for Obama. He was on message. He was reciting talking points of a hidden agenda. He was doing the two-step, to Clark's solo.

Posted at 12:32pm on Jun. 28, 2008 Does John McCain Know of A Coup d'etat?

By ilitigant

Before my fellow conservatives jump my case for the title, read it.

Mind you, that the term '48 hours' certainly sounds definitive, especially when used in the context of an 'underdog'. And it is that literal interpretation that has the liberal web buzzing today. John McCain was reported, in one online article, at FoxNews as having said: "'I’m the underdog. I’m behind,' the presumptive GOP nominee told reporters in Ohio. 'I’ve got to catch up and get ahead. And I expect to do that about 48 hours before the general election,' he said with a laugh."

Posted at 8:51pm on Jun. 24, 2008 As 'Progressives' Obstruct FISA in the Senate...

By ilitigant

I'm going to come right out and say this: A Democrat filibuster, the attempts to strip immunity for the telecoms from the FISA bill are FOR A REASON, and that reason has nothing to do the lies the Democrats are trying to use as an excuse.

Do you really buy into the 'protect Americans' line? Do you really buy into the 'civil liberties' line? Do you not think for just one nanosecond that the real reason Moveon.Org, America Coming Together and the rest of George Soros' minion propaganda arms, and the progressive media are so adamant at stopping immunity, might be for a reason no one is going to bring up? Yet?

Posted at 12:22pm on Jun. 24, 2008 IG Report On Political Influence in DOJ Honors Program

By ilitigant

Liberals are going 'gah gah' over the report, released today by Glenn Fine's Inspector General's office. In it, which has been the focus of the liberal glee, is definitive proof that two persons, without Administration instruction, used a litmus test of candidates for the DOJ Honors Program and SLIP, rejecting persons with perceived ideological motives, based upon their affiliation or history with far left organizations (the list in the appendix is huge and quite interesting as to the validity of the concern.) This all happened before and during 2002. Nothing was found improper in 2003, 2004 and 2005 and only a few impropers were found in 2006, the process of which, was solved in 2007. So much for the 'politicization' of the Justice Department in this instance. Not one mention is made of what criteria the Clinton administration used and why the DOJ was loaded to the hilt, and overflowing with ideological liberals before Ashcroft took over. Not one word as to why whatever it was those two persons did could be considered equal opportunity for non-liberal lawyers. It is indeed improper to consider party and affiliations in hiring, but then why was it just fine before Ashcroft took over?

Posted at 7:58pm on Jun. 23, 2008 What If Obama Does Not Filibuster?

By ilitigant

I'm not saying he will, or that he would even consider it, now that he's lied about doing it before and now says he'll support the FISA bill: I'm saying that he can't.

MoveOn.Dummies is out to get him. So are FiredogLake and DailyKos and a plethora of other 'realism is not relevant' blogging sites. They want the man to do what he said he would do. But this is Obama we're talking about. He doesn't understand what character is, let alone show any.
