Look at the Redstate Slatecard, there on the right side.
That doesn't seem right for the size of this site. Shouldn't we have contributed just a bit more than that to our candidate?
So: I've just donated.
The way I see it: Now is the time to push for contributions--we can't wait until August or later. The Obama only has to report anything more than $1 million raised in this and/or last month and the media will lead with "McCain is DONE! (Hurray!); Can't raise any money" stories. Any excuse will do to drive a narrative to depress fund raising. It is up to us to give our side the ammo to counter.

Posted at 12:30pm on May 6, 2008 The Left Throws Joe Wilson Under the Bus
By jimmuy8
Joe Wilson, of Valerie Plame Fame, dares to suggest "Legitimate Questions of Judgment, Experience" regarding the Obama.
Joe starts:
In recent weeks Americans have been subjected to a litany of outrageous statements from Sen. Barack Obama's pastor of 20 years, Rev. Jeremiah Wright. While Obama was finally compelled to distance himself from his radical preacher, the relationship raises legitimate questions about Obama's judgment and naivete.

Posted at 1:41pm on Jan. 10, 2008 McCain: Good on Judges?
By jimmuy8
Can we be sure? That's the question. He's a conservative; that's what we are told. So, it should follow that he will appoint judges conservatives will find acceptable.
What does John McCain say on his website about judges? Well, it's not listed as one of his Issues. I guess judges are less important than global warming, which did make his list.

By jimmuy8
When we can get beyond bumper sticker scare tactics that implies we need cheap, unskilled, illegal labor "if we want to continue to eat and build houses" then, maybe we can begin to have an honest debate.
It is not that the politicians in Washington know or are trying to learn more about this issue: It's that they think they already know and they know so much that is just not so.
From the Seattle Times, 9/19/2006:
Low-paid illegal work force has little impact on prices

Posted at 2:19pm on Jun. 2, 2007 Seizing Blue States Via Amnesty--The Numbers
By jimmuy8
By imagining that the Hispanic population of each state is doubled, i.e. assume a state has 300k Hispanic citizens in 2004 and they vote the same as they did then, what percentage of the next 300k will need to vote Republican to change the state from blue to red? Kind of a “the existing Hispanic citizens are set in their ways but, the newly amnestied Hispanics are fired up to vote Republican.”
