BIOSPHERE THRIVING: THE CAUSE CO2

SAVE THE PLANET BURN SOME COAL

From the original summary of the Seawifs results

Everything about life on Earth depends on life in the ocean. After all, this is a blue planet, with about 70 percent of the total surface awash with one of the most common molecular compounds known: water. The oceans regulate the planet's biological wellbeing. But water alone is not enough. Life in its most common forms demands a ready supply of a particular element if it's to thrive: carbon. It's the same stuff that composes lowly coal, and it's the core of proud tree trunks. Carbon is the root of all life on Earth, and as it's complex dance carries it through the biosphere, the Earth's state of health responds.

Guess what ? IT SEEMS CO2 isn't just good it's great !!! At least the earth thinks so.

From the Financial Post and NASA

Planet Earth is on a roll! GPP is way up. NPP is way up. To the surprise of those who have been bearish on the planet, the data shows global production has been steadily climbing to record levels, ones not seen since these measurements began.

GPP is Gross Primary Production, a measure of the daily output of the global biosphere -- the amount of new plant matter on land. NPP is Net Primary Production, an annual tally of the globe's production. Biomass is booming. The planet is the greenest it's been in decades, perhaps in centuries.

The cause ?? What was the Cause ?? The warming of the planet and the greater availability of CO2. (If you hear a distant laughing at this point it is probably just me and every other DENIER)

This really should come as no surprise to anyone that increased CO2 and warmer climates promote life and a healthier biosphere. If you look at ANWR it is probably the greatest bit of Orwellian Doublespeak ever created. It is cold desolate tundra inhabited by moose making their way by licking algae off the ice. Compare this to the south american rainforests which are warm wet and verdant, It doesn't take much insight to draw the conclusion that warm and wet is better.

Here is the NASA video depicting the change in earths biosphere over time.

This animation shows an average of 10 years worth of SeaWiFS data. Dark blue represents warmer areas where there tends to be a lack of nutrients, and greens and reds represent cooler nutrient-rich areas which support life. The nutrient-rich areas include coastal regions where cold water rises from the sea floor bringing nutrients along and areas at the mouths of rivers where the rivers have brought nutrients into the ocean from the land.

Take a look at that video. You know the last time I posted NASA statistics I was told I didn't have the intellectual gravitas of Mr. Hansen. Well I might not have the intellectual gravitas but I have always thought that water and CO2 would be good for plants and people. GO Figure !!

Crossposted at the minority report

since CO2 was declared the culprit in AGW, despite the obvious benefit to plant life.

Just like they want to blame AGW and high energy demand as causes for food shortages and not the authoritarian centrally-planned economies where most of those shortages are felt.

the "rainforest" the "rainforest" "the sky is falling" and not a peep in years....I am here to tell you politicians think we rubes are stupid out here and I am here to tell them THEY ARE WRONG!!! we see the hypocricy and stupidity and the MONEY that creates these BOGUS "chicken little" moments in history and they will lose their seats when people get tired of high gas and high taxes and we will ensure there are politicians who listen to "we the people"....it's coming!

Freedom of Religion NOT Freedom from Religion

I like it n/t

but the public in general is buying in hook, line, and sinker.
Alarm and fear have worked well for the left. Just as has class warfare and racial division.

...a drowning man may beg to differ.

Or pardon me did you mean to torture a metaphor in some other manner ?
