Just when you think it can't get any more bizarre, comes this from the outer limits:
Bloomberg Promoter Has Schemes for Hijacking the Presidency
Feb. 12, 2008 (EIRNS)--The pollster-operative for New York Mayor
Michael Bloomberg's election campaigns has described scenarios in which
the U.S. government could be put under fascist control, without the
leaders of such a coup winning the 2008 Presidential elections.

Posted at 5:34pm on Feb. 11, 2008 A come to Jesus moment for the Republican Party.
By Kate Shanahan
I have a big bone to pick. It’s been festering for a number of years, as I watched the Republican Party make mistake after mistake. Like a good foot soldier in a time of unrest, I kept my counsel and fought the good fight. The leadership betrayal of Mitt Romney brought me up like a short lead. If they can do that to him, what would they do to me.
I’ve got the answer and it isn’t pretty. They will ask me to betray the faith and sacrifice of my ancestors. They will ask me to ignore my inner counsel. They will ask me to put my country in peril by supporting the rejection of its founding principles. We are faced with the fork in the road. Do we go left, and shut out the heart of our party, or do we go right and continue to stand up for those founding principles. Or do we sit on the fence, in the middle, failing to choose. What did Jesus say about the fence sitters?

By Kate Shanahan
Forgive me, I’ve been a lurker for two years here and the fog of war has just cleared. My kids have been fighting overseas in the WOT (OEF) and they’re safely back for the time being. I don’t want to step on toes, or get Moe mad at me again, but please, answers.
How can we afford to sit out the next four years?? This is a new ballgame. We are a wounded giant with lots of bullies wanting to knock us off our perch. We saw what eight years of disarray produced. For me, never again.

If the plane still won’t fly?
Ok, I’m a bit wounded. I really, really liked Mitt Romney. I think his skills and intelligence are needed at the helm of the ship of state. But disappointment that he won’t be is not all that is wrong with me.
Where is the realization that the party leadership has failed us and we need a lot more repair work to run a competitive campaign? Calming down will not cure what ails us. Blind support of John McCain will not cure what ails us. One thing I take from this site is that the regulars really don’t want to hear what is really wrong with the party…that is has broken faith with its base, it has lost trust and squandered the good will of the independent voter.

Since the GATT negotiations in the 40's, we've been giving away our standard of living a bite at a time. The bites are getting bigger and bigger, and now the cupboard is almost bare.
All of this globalism and free trade looks good in theory. Business wants to make a lot of money, business executives want to make a lot of money so they can buy an island of safety to sequester them when the country's society and financial structure collapse.
