Full disclosure - I live in TN...enough said.

If one was to sit back and take stock as to where we have been and where we (conservative) need to be, one would ask "how do we get back to where we should be."

Let's take 4 topics that Mr. Thompson has addressed and is willing to make a start to turn these around.

1. Defense
2. Taxes
3. Abortion
4. Illegal Immigration

Item #1. Mr. Thompson has proposed to increase the number of boots on the ground and upgrade the technology needed to face the NEW enemy of the 21st Century. Our military was cut so deep during the 8 years under Clinton that this will take time and money. It need IMMEDIATELY attention.

Item #2. Mr. Thompson proposed his new TAX plan this weekend. We all want a simple tax policy but for those who want a FLAT tax or a National Sales Tax..this is a start in the right direction. H&R Block and the CPA's will not go away without a fight. This too will take time but it's a start.

Item #3. Mr. Thompson wants to appoint Judges that will repeal Roe v Wade and push this decision back to the states and the people. This is the only way this can happen...sorry but it is the truth.

Item #4. Mr. Thompson wants to punish employers for hiring illegals, in other words, remove the magnet. Secure borders and enforce our existing immigration laws.
