If the Democrats Can Campaign Against FOX News ...

... why in the name of all that is Holy is it so impossible for the GOP to target the New York Times as the thoroughly partisan news outlet it is, especially since it is ten times more partisan than FOX News is at its worst?

Clinton's tantrum began as a real loss of control. But somewhere in the middle of it, his natural political instincts told him he was on to something, and he insisted on continuing the finger-pointing, knee-poking assault. What Clinton realized was that the Dems can campaign against the media, too. And now they've begun.

First, it was Hillary Clinton defending her husband's response to the "attack" by Fox News. On Tuesday, terminally liberal Sen. Barbara Boxer - on with Fox anchor Jane Skinner - sneered at the Fox "fair and balanced" motto. The Dems can energize their base by running against Fox, Rush Limbaugh and every other conservative radio talk show host, writer and blogger. And they will. They will have the radio and TV ads bashing the right wing conspiracy. Pity there isn't one.

Like Jed Babbin, who I'm quoting above, said earlier and today, we need not look deranged like Bill Clinton did upon being asked a tough question for the first time since he left office. The Republican Party need only use mockery, ridicule, humor and sometimes, outright dismissal, to launch even more effective missiles at their credibility.

And it's an even greater pity that Republicans won't take advantage of one of the great structural strengths in this campaign. People who can't be buffaloed by the media into stampeding to the left can be convinced to step to the right, away from the media they distrust. You only need the courage to ask. Republicans don't have it.

It's sad, but he's right.

Why are we so afraid - it's time to get going, take it to the donks. Force the judges through the pipeline, get W a bill on surveillance, and aggressive attack the liberal media.

Senator Frist, your last action should be to hold over that lazy group of 100 until they get their job done.

on The Factor last night and it was almost,(almost!)sad, to see the total stupidity and ineffectualness of these two once proud lefties.
But I sipped a little scotch and quickly got over it.

Now I know what I did wrong! I reached for the wrong bottle.

I was using Windex to clean the TV screen, but the grease simply would not come off.

Plays only to the Democratic base. Lots of independents watch Fox News, and telling them they are "stupid" for doing so is not good strategy. This latest attack because of the Clinton interview is, I think, one of the more outrageous. Chris Wallace asked a solid question with lots of background information. It is a legitimate question that should be asked of everyone in the leadership, Republican or Democrat, in the last 10 years. I think Wallace conducted a great interview.
