By Mason617

Anyone who been to Digg.com, a content sharing website that allows users to submit and vote on the stories they think are important, knows that it has been taken over by Obama-bots since last summer.

The problem was so bad that at any given time, at least 1/2 to 2/3s of the stories on the front page and in the Top in All Topics section would be pro-Obama puff pieces, or anti Hillary/McCain/Romney/Huck/Bush stories from dKos, HuffPo, crooks and liars, NYT, ect.

By Mason617

After reading about the latest of Obama's daily gaffes (unless he really is going after the undead vote), I thought this one was begging, no screaming, to be made into an image. Obama of course scrubbed that part from the speech archive at his website.

Posted at 3:12pm on Feb. 28, 2008 Its ok that Al Qaida is in Iraq, because its all Bush's fault - Obama

By Mason617

Yesterday (while I was waiting for the Foo Fighters concert to begin), Barack Obama not only turned another circle while chasing his own tail, but revealed that he apparently has no intention of solving any "problems" left over from the Bush administration.

A quick recap of the exchange of quips between Obama and McCain:

By Mason617

Really. Its starting to get old. If you don't like Ron Paul, then don't vote for him.

The next time you are sitting around and complaining about liberals and how the Republican party keeps drifting leftward, think back to your juvenile attitude about Ron Paul.

Some days I'm not sure just who is more loony - Ron Paul's supporters or his detractors.

I was initially a RP supporter. I was going to work for his campaign, the first candidate I would ever volunteer for. Sure, his Iraq policy is tough so swallow, especially for an OIF veteran, but no politician is perfect. Then I meet some of his supporters. I will not be working for his campaign because I don't like being around crazy people who are looking for black helicopters and think the best way to get some one elected is to spam and troll every single message board on the internet.

No, I am not kidding. Sometimes its hard to tell the difference between satire of liberals and the real thing, but this is right from the horses mouth:

Posted at 1:40pm on Mar. 30, 2007 US slips to number 7 in list of worlds most networked countries - the reason why is unsuprising

By Mason617

Business Weekly released their annual rankings of the world's most networked countries. Never heard of it before, but they some interesting comments about Estonia's rise and the US's decline in rankings.

Behind the U.S. Slip

The U.S., which topped the Networked Readiness Index last year, dropped to No. 7 in part because of an increasingly slow and complex legal and regulatory environment. Professor Dutta points out that the U.S. is burdened by a cumbersome taxation system (ranked No. 31 in the world); a legal framework (ranked No. 25) that produces innumerable corporate lawsuits; and a limited use of ICT to streamline government (No. 40 in the world). The U.S. even remains behind in mobile-phone usage, being ranked No. 48 worldwide.

Posted at 11:53pm on Mar. 15, 2007 If you don't watch "The Great Global Warming Swindle," at least see these two graphs.

By Mason617

Crossposted at Ending One Minute at a Time.

An English TV Channel delivers some "Inconvenient Truth" about the global warming hoax.

The UK's Channel 4 recently aired a documentary that is highly critical of the theory that human activities are responsible for the planet's warming trend. While I highly recommend watching the whole documentary (all eight parts can be found
here),the two graphs on temperature change below speak for themselves.

I know that 90% have heard this documentary, and most have probably seen it, but this movie does such an amazing job of tipping over/lighting on fire Algore's hit piece, that I think it deserves some more attention.

Here is part two (the link for part one wouldn't work right):

Posted at 7:40pm on Dec. 19, 2006 So Much for the Destruction of the Middle Class.

By Mason617

Dkoser DrSteveB has been running a series of polls on the demographics of Dkos users. Today's poll was on Socioeconomic status.

Just like every other liberal out there who thinks all of us conservatives are successfully destroying the middle class, he starts of by saying that "Despite what some "happy talkers" would like to sell, not everybody in America is middle class."

Posted at 3:00pm on Sep. 13, 2006 DFL Mayor of Duluth, MN wants to stop US Coast Guard from protecting Lake Superior

By Mason617

Before I start with the real story, I want to introduce DFL (that is the Dem party here in MN) Mayor of Duluth Herb Bergson:

This was his mug shot after he was arrested for crashing his car into a guardrail last December while drunk at twice the legal limit.

His own city counsel is now investigating him for leaking documents to a local newspaper, and now he is opposed to making the border of my state safer.
