Did I miss the memo about Ceding Our Sovereignty in 2008?
Did anyone else get more than a little uncomfortable after watching Dick Morris on FoxNew's H&C last night?
Aside from the near nausea I felt after Sean's total tank job interview with Rudy (Yes, he pretty much confirmed he'd like to take your guns) - Morris' prediction that the 2008 election would be over by October (2007) before a single vote was cast really bothered me.
What really torqued me off was the part about the voters having no say, the media and early name recognition polls will make the decision in the most important election since well Ronald Reagan.
To be honest, the arrogance of the media in general (including Fox News) in annointing the top three candidates (both Democratic and Republican) while completely ignoring any of the other candidates just about has me done with watching the coverage.
At least I live in South Carolina where we get to vote early on in what in Morris' opinion is a pointless exercise. Excuse me Dick (and other talking heads), but last I checked, the people, not the pundints, call the shots. Do us all a favor and shut your pie-hole and go take another poll.
I hope voters in the other early Caucus and Primary states had the same reaction - somehow I think the folks in Iowa and New Hampshire just might.
