Saturday after the results or on Sunday. The main news that day was how bad Fred Thompson had done and the upcoming football games.

I am still in shock over losing Fred, so I thought about it today for about 12 seconds, and it occurred to me that I will go against whoever the MSM and Ted Kennedy want (McCain) and for whoever the MSM and Ted Kennedy hate the most.
Mitt is it for me, with Rudy a close 2nd.

While working the Huckabee table at a recent secureborders.com Town Hall event here in Las Vegas, and taking questions from the folks there, I came to the conclusion that those attracted to Fred will come to Huckabee next. They all seemed to see through the nasty swill that Fred would throw at Huckabee at every turn for what it was, just a guy trying to get his constituency to not turn to the more popular carrier of the conservative standard. And those that believed the spin were easily swayed once Mike's record on the 2nd amendment was made clear, and his support for pro-life causes, as well as his excellent economic and tax record as Governor of Arkansas, and the results his policies had on that state.
I would only ask Fred Thompson supporters to take their time, there are alot of lies and half truths out there, take the time to see the whole truth.
I support Governor Mike Huckabee for President.

Not a smart way to try to win over Fred Thompson supporters. A better way of doing it would have been to acknowledge concerns regarding Huckabee's record & pointed people to sources of information - if they exist - that tell a different story.
With all due respect, I think my feelings about Huckabee could reach "loathing" territory.
He is a charlatan of the worst kind and gives my faith a very bad name. Guess he can save 1/2 the money on push polls now that Fred is out. That's a bonus. Oh, I forgot- He knows nothing about them? HMMM

Michelle Malkin had a poll of who Fred Supporters would vote for if Fred dropped out. Huckabee received 4% of the vote.
Was the poll scientific? No. Was it accurate? Yes.
He attacked his policies on immigration, taxes, and foreign policy.
As a FredHead, 100% pro-life, conservative---I don't understand how it is so many Huckabee supporters think all issues are social issues.
FredHeads are socially conservative, but we are also conservative in ways that Huckabee is not.
If you want to vote for Jimmy Carter, just say so.

The net tax cuts supported by Huckabee from fiscal years 1997 to 2007 totaled $222 million, while net tax increases supported or unopposed by Huckabee totaled $864 million. The net increase in taxes supported by Huckabee, therefore, equaled $642 million.

Huckabee could have stated that the tax increases were needed to fund federally mandated programs. I am surprised he never said this.
