Hey, I know what the netroots can still do about FISA!

Go try to convince Bush that he needs to veto it!

He won't, of course - but watching them bitterly try to petition a man that they so bitterly and impotently hate will be the final touch of whipped cream on this tasty, tasty, tasty schadenfreude pie. Because, you know, if they really believed in this cause they'd try anything. No matter how futile (although their actions thus far have been hard to top) or personally degrading: their own rhetoric demands that they bow their necks to Bush and beg him to stay his hand. Besides, what else will they do with their time, now that they've lost?

Well, yes, they can labor for the greater glory of Barack Obama. But besides that?

And cry under the covers untill December or so.

Once Obama is already in power, the shift for FISA will be reversed. The Democrats can already use this Law against the republicans.

They are 100% sure that it will be Obama by November.

That's the thing.

How can they use this against the Republicans? It passed with bipartisan support.

Why go beg the Executive branch when you control the Super-Executive branch?

I wonder if they'll get mad if we say Obama is not ours...

But we probably won't do that over here on the grownup side.

We would also like to know your advice for somebody like my daughter, who's going to graduate in two years, advice that you would give a young person.
