Gaffney on Q&A

I just spent a portion of my Sunday evening watching an interview with Frank Gaffney (Islam vs. Islamists) on CSPAN Q&A taped last month. Other than this conversation, I don’t know much about Mr. Gaffney but he did come across as reasonable, credible and …well, sane. Based on his side of the story, I’d sure like to see a little investigative light shined on the inner workings of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. Today’s cable junkies probably don’t even realize CPB/PBS is still around but some may wish to see how “our” money is being used.

More rambling below...

It is getting harder but I still stand by earlier claims that, given fair and full explanations of the issues, the American public is much more conservative than the 50 / 50 polling split that is maintained for the Left by the MSM. (Perhaps 60 / 40 or better.) Having now witnessed many years of the overt war by the Axis of Insanity*** (see below) against this President, behavior like this current flap with CPB seems to be a more covert but still hostile use of public money and positions against the twice elected Commander in Chief and, whether they like it or not, the real “will of the people” as far as executive leadership is concerned. But, I digress.

All of this was really just to get around to the fact that CPB has now earned (or re-earned) as spot on my departmental hit list – to be closed, de-funded, cut-slashed-and-burned within the first hundred days. Mostly, this has been an informal list but in the interest of assisting my not-so-photographic-near-forty memory, I’ll start writing it down. Here’s the quick version:

1. U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
2. U.S. Department of Education
3. Corporation for Public Broadcasting / Public Broadcasting Service

I’ll gladly entertain other nominees.

*** The Left, the MSM, and some individuals from major departments within the Administrative branch that have assumed responsibility – mostly anonymously – not granted to them in the hopes of returning our policies and their career paths back to the failed pre-911 “business as usual”, “keep doing the same thing and expecting a different outcome” status. From Rather-Gregory-Couric all the way down to every single anonymous leaker of classified information, they are a despicable lot.
