There is an amazing assortment of strategies as to the direction America should take regarding extremist Islamic terrorism. Isolationists indicate that we need to concentrate on domestic issues and protect our borders instead. Those who otherwise look in disdain at arguments promoting US sovereignty make the case that we are meddling and should be sensitive to the culture and beliefs of other countries or regions; that an immediate threat to our well-being should be proven beyond all doubt; that costs in resources and lives are greater than any possible return. Blame-America-first followers indicate a need to look at ourselves and change policies so as not to invite these retributions and that we should be concerned that our reactions are inciting even more violent attacks, if more violence is in fact possible.

Here are my frank observations of what every thinking American should consider in the 2008 general election.
Since Sept. 11, 2001, I have delved deeply into my own political beliefs as well as those of other parties and special interests. This has led me to a conclusion about the current global security crisis and its corrective course of action: There is NO SINGLE NATIONAL ISSUE more important to the well being of future of the American way of life than that of neutralizing Islamic terrorism. There is nothing more important in the opposition of this REAL and EMINENT THREAT against us (and the entire world) than our waging an unwavering and relentless fight to defeat this enemy and political doctrine that doesn't recognize this is not an option.

The US Supreme Court heard arguments on whether the US Environmental Protection Agency has the authority to regulate CO2 as a pollutant. Environmentalists argued that the byproduct of heat and energy production, and by extrapolation, the exhalant of life itself is poisoning our atmosphere. Imagine if you can, that we are witnessing what may be the beginning of US criminalization of capitalism and every mechanism of its employ as well as the life-sustaining function of breathing itself. All this, while a UN-published study states that cattle farming’s output of CO2 and methane far outpaces that of the contribution of all the world’s transportation sector. I find the lack of a consensus very troubling, particularly as the media is pressing an urgent call to action against a “man-made” global climate emergency.
