By PTM

The Giuliani campaign reports it raised over $17 million in the second quarter. That total includes primary and general election funds. The campaign also said it doubled the number of individual donors from Q1, though without providing any specific numbers. Giuliani has $18 million cash on hand, which is $6 million more than Mitt Romney and $16 million more than John McCain.

Campaign manager Mike DuHaime said, "We are thrilled by our fundraising this quarter and are running a strong and efficient campaign. We are well positioned to win both the primary and the general elections and we are serious about being good stewards with the money that has been entrusted to us."

Mitt Romney
But he's not the front-runner because he hasn't demonstrated he can be competitive in a general election yet, either based on message or polls. On the surface, he's had a rough month -- Garrity-Gate, stem cells, dog on top of the car -- but the net effect of this isn't that terrible. Basically, the press thinks Romney is the weirdest candidate. The dog-on-the-roof story only adds to the Clark Griswold weirdness.

By PTM

1. did FT mean to insult the Cubans? no
2. did his highly silled staff do another bad response job? yes
3. why so bad a staff job again? rumor is staff are being overruled by Mrs. FT (apparently a credible attorney/lobbyist who has lived in DC for 20+ years)
4. do vpeople think FT is Arthur Blake character? of course and his present physical and campaign appearance can't match to up to 5 year ago scripted images

New Jersey's Gift To Rudy Giuliani
15 Jun 2007 12:48 pm

I've written about this before, and now it's official: the New Jersey Republican Party has voted to change its delegate allocation rules from proportional representation to winner-take-all. That means, in essence, that no one but Rudy Giuliani will receive New Jersey's 52 convention delegates on Feb. 5.

Florida, on Jan. 29, is the precurser for Giuliani's "Feb 5" strategy. And delegate allocation there is by congressional district, so Giuliani and the other candidates can pick and choose where they want to campaign.

just saw the video clip ... FT has perfect right to change his mind "thought that then ... think this now". changing one's mind shows an open mind. however, what he says in this clip ... while technically correct is misleading.

as the digging begins in ernest about FT, many of you are going to be unhappy.
on abortion ... a hot button with many people, I suggest (a) go to YOU TUBE FRED THOMPSON ON ABORTION and far more important (b) read the American Spectator (clearly not a lib publication) 4/9/07 edition ... excerpted below. Fred actually sounds like RG "the ultimate decision must be made by a woman".
