By RC
We find this gem from Jim Clyburn at CNN on the idea of filibustering a SCHIP bill:
"And let's say to them, go ahead, filibuster," he said. "Our base will understand what a filibuster is, the American people will understand what a filibuster is. They don't understand this 60-vote-rule business. But they remember which party filibustered against all the civil rights bills back in the '50s and '60s, and to have that same party stand up there and start filibustering against health care for children? Man, I would love that picture."

Down in the swamp, the lefties are stewing over news of America defending itself against Iran. There's nothing they hate more than America defending itself and protecting our troops in Iraq. So a story about "supercarriers" is whipping them into a frenzy.
The leftists show their cards with comments such as this.
"Yeah... did you notice that they send some national guard unit (I heard it quickly on the radio so no link) to DC for one year? I guess they are getting ready for us to show up. That's also scary. Who knows what Dick has planned for those who try to stop him." - victoria2dc (42 recommends)

Posted at 2:45am on Mar. 5, 2007 Barack Obama lies about his father's story in his Selma speech
By RC
Barack Obama had an inspiring tale in Selma, to try and win one of the more irrelevant debates ever, about himself and the "black experience":
What happened in Selma, Alabama and Birmingham also stirred the conscience of the nation. It worried folks in the White House who said, “You know, we're battling Communism. How are we going to win hearts and minds all across the world? If right here in our own country, John, we're not observing the ideals set fort in our Constitution, we might be accused of being hypocrites.†So the Kennedy's decided we're going to do an air lift. We're going to go to Africa and start bringing young Africans over to this country and give them scholarships to study so they can learn what a wonderful country America is.

Posted at 10:54pm on Sep. 10, 2005 Newest Newsweek Poll skewed against Republicans
By RC
Sure, it's not totally news. We know that the liberal media has a vendetta against the President. They're marketing their faux-polls to demoralize Republicans.
Here's the poll in question.
And here's their sample
300 Republicans (30%)
334 Democrats (33%)
331 Independents (33%)
44 People Who Don't Know their Party ID (4%)
Yes, that big of an undersampling.
