“The People’s Server”: A Web Site for Sovereign Americans

America’s greatest strength is her free people.
If America is to remain the greatest nation on Earth, it is imperative her sovereign citizens’ Congressional servants maximize public access to and insights and interests within policy decisions.
Toward this goal, the internet is a critical technological tool, as over 72% of Americans are on-line. In turn, the people’s Congress Representatives are endeavoring to implement online communications with their sovereign constituents. These attempts are diverse, including modern technologies like YouTube and Facebook to e-mail, and simple web pages. Yet whatever the type, all these emergent technologies serve the traditional need for elected officials to hear and serve their constituents.
On our part, U.S. House Republicans – the heirs of Lincoln and Reagan – will emulate their “patient confidence in the ultimate justice of the people” by opening the Republican House Policy Committee’s new web site: www.republicanhousepolicy.org. Now, for the first time on-line, the public can directly interact with and impart their wisdom to the Republican House Policy Committee in an open forum of ideas.
The open-source platform houses an interactive blog written by the people’s Representatives; and legislative resources, such as ‘Thinking Points” policy papers. Most importantly, the web site’s revolutionary interactive features engage all participants in the quest for and contest of ideas through the “Two Cents” application.
The “Two Cents” application is a medium for Representatives’ employers – the American people – to directly engage in the legislative process. Participants, both Congressional Representatives and the public, post their thoughts, ideas, and solutions – i.e., their “two cents”. Some of these ideas are pieces of legislation, but most are drafts of bills, and concepts that must be polished. Every post is then open for comments and questions.
Ultimately, the Republican House Policy Committee’s goal is to provide a forum where sovereign citizens can listen, advance, discuss, and translate their policy ideas into legislative action on critical issues confronting our nation – gas prices, energy policy, the economy, health care, education, illegal immigration, fiscal policy, national security, and any issue of importance to Americans.
For an overview of these issues, America’s transformational generational challenges of the 21st Century, and our Republican Party’s enduring purpose and core principles we will apply to transcending them, please check out the Republican House Policy Committee’s compact disc Freedom Songs: The American Empowerment Agenda. Each of the Freedom Songs’ tracks and accompanying text are posted online and can be commented on at www.republicahousepolicy.org/freedomsongs
So too, the Republican House Policy Committee is working with the Fiscal Integrity Task Force (FIT Force) – www.republicanhousepolicy.org/FITForce. The goal of the FIT Force is to turn our bloated federal government from fat to fit by stop pork barrel spending and proposing sweeping reforms to protect your tax dollars. Your ideas on how to achieve fiscal integrity and examples of wasteful Washington spending would be most welcomed and appreciated!
As you can surmise, the Republican House Policy Committee will be expanding the transparency of government decision making and the dissemination of public information on the internet. We intend to grow our participation throughout the web in the weeks and months ahead.
In conclusion, the Republican House Policy Committee web site is an invitation to Americans to engage in the legislative process through an honest, open, and accountable dialogue with their Republican servants in Congress. So please, log onto www.republicanhousepolicy.org; dive in and dig it; above all –
Be Freedom!
This is actually a positive development. But having spent several years here at Redstate - a very open community where content is usually only moderated after it appears (when it needs moderating), I know that there are too many people whose "two cents" amounts only to name-calling, foul-language, false and misleading information, and generally being a "bad neighbor."
I hope that the Policy Committee has staff on hand to weed out the inevitable barrage of posts from the nutroots that amount to nothing more than calling all Republicans fascist bigots and "informing us" that "Bush Lied, People Died." I hope that the intolerant and hostile Leftists don't ruin an idea that has real potential to allow grassroots folks (like the regular participants of the RedState community) to more easily and directly provide feedback on the House GOP's agenda.
And BTW - I thought the "Speaking Democrat" speech was genius.

idea. For way too long, I've felt that Congress D's and R's have viewed themselves as little fiefdoms. I'll check the site out today. Thanks very much,
