By scottbomb

I'm stunned. Shocked. Just when I thought the Newtster was going to let those global warming wackos have it in his debate with John Kerry. As it turns out, Newt AGREES that human beings are causing the Earth to warm.

Just when I thought we would get some media coverage of the TRUTH. Yeah, The Great Global Warming Swindle was nice, but it was only shown once - in the UK - as opposed to every school in the country going ga ga over Algore.

Posted at 10:03am on Apr. 5, 2007 Politico: DNC raises more money than GOP in 1Q '07

By scottbomb

So this morning Drudge links to this story by Politico about how the DNC is cleaning our clocks when it comes to fund-raising.

...campaign insiders acknowledge that party activists are in a slump and, for now, sitting on their checkbooks and credit cards.

You're darned right I am. But not for the reason given below:

By scottbomb

In spite of the daily dose of liberal brainwashing that our kids get in public schools, there may still be hope on the horizon.

What would we do without Matt Drudge? The news aggregator extraordinaire has given us this: Global warming on trial.

Posted at 8:14pm on Mar. 18, 2007 The Fred Thompson for President poll

By scottbomb

I've seen this (un-scientific) poll on Redstate for about a week or so now (and yes, I voted). It's interesting to see the overwhelming "yes" response the question as to whether or not Fred Thompson should run for the Republican nomination for president in '08. As of this writing (Sun. Mar. 18, 6:49pm Central) the results are:

Yes 76% 787
No 20% 202
Undecided 4% 46

By scottbomb

Instead of "do no evil", perhaps Google should change it's motto to "do no evil (unless they disagree with us)".

Yesterday in my blog here on Redstate, EzOnTheEyez gave us a link to the new documentary "The Great Global Warming Swindle". I also found this link which gives the full .avi download. Well, as of this morning, both links no longer work.

By scottbomb

It looks like an editor over at may have fallen alseep on the job. If not, he/she needs to be commended for his/her courage in letting this one make it to the web. I don't watch broadcast network TV but it would be nice if the story were featured there as well.

Here we have (yet another) of the "world's top scientists" doubting man-made global warming:

Posted at 11:38am on Mar. 8, 2007 FOX News "GOP mouthpiece"

By scottbomb

This is hilarious. On CBS News today, is quoted as saying that Fox News Channel is a

...mouthpiece for the Republican Party, not a legitimate news channel.

So what do you call ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, & MSNBC? Fair and balanced? Uh-huh. Fox News is the only news channel that gives conservatives a fair shake. AND Fox News (unlike it's competitors) gives the opposing view equal time. Ever heard of Alan Colmes? Juan Williams? Neil Gabler?

By scottbomb

As featured today on

[You'll have to copy/paste it - I don't know how to make the whole link clickable. It was on Drudge today as well.]

What I find intriguing about this article is not so much the main subject, but this little snippet:

"Dr. Allegre's skepticism is noteworthy in several respects. For one, he is an exalted member of France's political establishment, a friend of former Socialist president Lionel Jospin, and, from 1997 to 2000, his minister of education, research and technology, charged with improving the quality of government research through closer co-operation with France's educational institutions."

Posted at 1:53am on Mar. 4, 2007 Media vocabulary words fit for the trash heap

By scottbomb

The "Liberals" category seemed the be the closest I could come for this post. After all, I am talking about the "main stream" media.

Something has really been getting under my skin lately. Like a growing ringworm, it's time I scratched it.

Will the "MSM" PLEASE - I beg of you - ease up on the use of the words "surge" and "plummet". Seriously, this is abuse of the Queen's English. Every time some statistic goes up (you name it - gas prices, the stock market, polls) it's "surging". And every time some statistic goes down, it "plummets". Get real folks! Leave the drama for the soap writers.

Posted at 11:55am on Jul. 13, 2006 Oil prices - I simply do not understand this

By scottbomb

Oil has now hit "a new record" of $76. According to the press, this is due to "renewed worries over supply from major exporter Nigeria and as conflict between Israel and Lebanon heightened international tensions." and "the Iran nuclear row appeared to be heading to the U.N. Security Council".

The is no shortage of oil in the world market. Every time the loose nut in Iran opens his mouth or a terrorist in Nigeria explodes a bomb, the price of oil goes up. What a racket! What other business in the world can increase it's profit simply by threatening people? I'm clearly in the wrong business.

Now they're blaming it on the conflict between Israel & Lebanon, neither of which is even an OPEC nation.

Oil is projected to hit $100 a barrel although there is NO SHORTAGE. Just "fears of supply disruptions" (which sounds like a broken record). Get ready for $4 - $5 per gallon gas. Meanwhile, there is about as much oil in North America as all the Middle East but dare we drill for it? No way! We can't upset those environmentalists now can we?

Posted at 6:14pm on Jul. 5, 2006 Cindy Sheehan would rather live under Chavez

By scottbomb

According to MSNBC ,"Peace Mom" Cindy Sheehan would rather live in Venezuela under the rule of Communist dictator Hugo Chavez. I say we take up a collection to buy her a ticket.

I seem to recall Alec Baldwin vowing to leave the US if Bush was elected. And yet, he's STILL HERE. Maybe we can get a group discount on airfare to Venezuela and give these folks a new home.
