Ah, the 3 am phone call. Just who do you want answering it?
Maybe not comparable to that trickle of fear felt trying to locate (hide) those pesky Rose law firm records, dodging phantom sniper bullets or even the uncomfortable feeling a Senator might feel (hey, maybe I shouldn't be here?) at sitting at a pew listening to his preacher's latest racist rant but the following amazing video kind of puts it all in perspective.

The remarkable bond between most women and their children is represented here to the nth degree by my new hero, Lorraine Allard. Mrs. Allard had a choice of ending her unborn son's life and receiving cancer treatment or waiting for treatment until after he was born. She chose to save her son knowing she would die. Rest in peace Mrs Allard, I am humbled by your courage.

"Homosexuals deserve to be executed or tortured and possibly both, an Iranian leader told British MPs during a private meeting at a peace conference, The Times has learned."

So says Mohsen Yahyavi, a high ranking Iranian politician. Perhaps it is time for the far left and the liberal homosexual
community to revisit their "If we leave them alone they won't bother us" mantra.

Posted at 10:00pm on Jun. 27, 2007 The government made us do it

By SG Lominac

Here in Panama City Beach, FL our sheriff is having to find interesting if not controversial ways to flush out illegal aliens and the business owners that use them. It is a shame the federal government's total incompetence in enforcing border law has led to this but here we are. By way of Drudge:

Posted at 9:07pm on Jun. 14, 2007 Thanks again Mr President, Ted Kennedy etal

By SG Lominac

There is no place left in the United States that is untouched by the harm illegal aliens are doing to our country (well, except maybe the White House and the Hyannis Port compound) as witnessed by our local news headline here in Panama City, Fl. "4 men netted in gang rape". The 4 men in question are illegal aliens from Mexico who alledgedly gang raped one women (her friend escaped with torn underwear) after one invited them to his trailer for a birthday party where according to the local report, "the girls walked in and found themselves alone with 7 men". "That's when the women got suspicious" said Cedar Grove Police Chief Guy Turcotte. "The men began to demand sexual favors". One woman bolted, the other one was alledgedly pinned by three men while assaulted by a fourth. When the Chief and another officer went to the scene, some of the aliens were so intoxicated the officers had to throw water on them. When the police went to question them, they said they didnt speak english.

Posted at 1:26pm on May 3, 2007 Why it may pay for States to apply harsh illegal immigration laws immediately

By SG Lominac

In a simple word: Survival. As more states and localities adopt harsher illegal alien laws; http://www.examiner-enterprise.com/articles/2007/05/02/news/state/news53... do you really want to be one of the last states not enforcing the law? Given the human propensity for following the path of least resistance; wouldn't it be logical to assume that harsher laws in Oklahoma would mean neighboring States will get the fleeing aliens?

I could not have said it better than the Detroit News' screaming editorial headline. An IPOD for every kid? Are they !#$!ing idiots? Sometimes I wish politicians would just fulfill the constitutional requirement of having a warm body in a seat and do absolutely nothing.

Posted at 11:07am on Jan. 18, 2007 IRS vent

By SG Lominac

I called the IRS this morning to find out when the new form 8910 for fuel efficient vehicle credit (my wife's new Toyota Hybrid) was coming out. After being shuffled to the third person, I was told "I have no idea" and to keep watching the website. I would gladly do without the credits to get rid of this behemoth called the IRS and move to a FAIR Tax or something akin to it.

By SG Lominac

Harry Reid playing politics over a $3300 pay raise. It is not unconscienceable for Congress to take a pay raise while the federal minimum wage remains where it is. That is for individual States to decide. Remember them Mr. Reid? They can solve their own problems from time to time. Considering the responsibilities of a member of Congress, the job is well worth the proposed 168,000 annual salary. The overall $1,419,000 in extra salary next year for all Congesspersons is a joke compared to the earmarks the taxpayers are squeezed for every year. All I ask in return for our support is to run a cheap, efficent government. In short, take the damn money and do your jobs.

By SG Lominac

Whether it's the Dixie Chicks or Gwyneth Paltrow; Is it really necessary for Americans to throw fellow Americans under the bus in order to ingratiate oneself with the locals? I like to visit Europe too but I have never felt the need to denigrate America in order to feel more welcome. C'mon Gwyneth, we expect better.

Posted at 8:59am on Nov. 10, 2006 A good reason to fight on: Christine Zoldos

By SG Lominac

It is heartening to see the moral courage exhibited in teenagers we can't find in many (if not most) of our political leaders. After Orange Coast College student trustees banned the Pledge of Allegience at their meetings, Christine Zoldos, an 18 year old student loudly recited the Pledge in defiance. Read on, Christine will make your day.
