Postcard from Ukraine

Hi folks,
I can't compare with where others are, but I'm in Kiev right now and since it's a place that's been in the news....
It's late afternoon, and there are competing "political rallies" going on at opposite ends of the main boulevard. It's more like competing rock concerts than anything else. Both crowds are small at each event, but I'd say that the "oranges" have a larger crowd than the "blues."
(BTW, the "blue" tent city in the main square is pathetically small - particularly compared with the "orange" tent city of 2+ years ago, and that one was in the dead of winter.)
It's a beautiful spring day here, and the streets are PACKED with people strolling around, completely ignoring the "political" events. I'd say that's a good sign....
