Another Pelosi friend, another bill

Nancy Pelosi has worked hard to pass legislation that helps her ... friends. Like the Armenian legislation. Or her minimum wage exemption for a donor in American Samoa.

Another bill, another friend. This time on her staff. Today, the Democratic Congress is set to vote on H.R. 319, a bill to create, Paterson Great Falls National Park... which the National Park Service doesn't want. Why would they do that?

Well, The Hill has one possible answer. Her chief of staff, John Lawrence, is from there:

ā€œI’m from Paterson, N.J. Would you like to hear more about Paterson?ā€ he asks hopefully, revealing a wry wit.

And his family is still there. I wonder if they are making any money off this...

According to Hillary Clinton, America can't afford her ideas. It sounds like America can't afford Pelosi's friends either.

UPDATE: It turns out that the NPS rejected this in pretty stark terms:

Does not meet criteria for suitability, feasability, or need for National Park Service management.

NPR has also predicted that this will cost between $20m and $34m. That's a pretty good friend.

how about ENDA? Do you all think that we should make homosexuals, bisexuals, and transvestites a civil rights group like blacks, women and the aged. I think I know the answer to that, however the Dems are trying to sneak this on the agenda while no one is watching.

I was glad to hear several Reps mention the ridiculous Armenian bill in their comments at last night's debate. That is a bill that will get a lot of traction for the Reps if they use it. Even the Dems themselves don't like the bill much.

Ever been to Paterson? We used to jokingly call it the "armpit of NJ.

They should make their entire city a national monument to the failure of liberalism and dependency. I would support that.

I don't remember exactly, but I believe it was originally planned to be a model for all future cities. I bet William Paterson, et al are turning over in their graves.

With apologies to the few good people constantly voting to remove the bums and crooks running the city.

None of them got up to "armpit"...
