Not buying Obama's hyPACrisy

Yesterday, Erick wrote about Barack Obama's misleading statements on his campaign not taking money from PACs. It is interesting how the press is not buying his lies. First, he will take money from MoveOn's PAC. So the guys who insult our soldiers are ok. More examples. The very liberal Baltimore Sun's Swamp blog responds to the line that "[Lobbyists] don't fund my campaign" with the somewhat skeptical response "Lobbyist Ban not for All Dems":

Well, at least not on the presidential level.

The Obama campaign confirms that two other arms of the national party - the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee - will continue to accept lobby and PAC money this election. That's the same position as presumptive Republican nominee John McCain and every affiliate of the Republican National Committee, who all accept lobby and PAC dollars.

More examples of Obama losing this fight below the fold.

USA Today:

The DNC policy announced Thursday does not ban lobbyists from holding top positions within the organization.

Lottie Shackleford, a vice chairman of the DNC, is a lobbyist for insurance firms State Farm and Allstate as well as student lender Sallie Mae. Shackleford did not respond to messages seeking comment.

Paxton declined to comment when asked whether Shackleford's role conflicted with Obama's lobbyist restrictions. Obama spokesman Bill Burton did not respond to messages seeking comment.

I "trolled" around my little lib site I visit (why, why, why do I do this to myself). There was a huge write up about how much money McCain had raised from PACs and lobby groups. But, OBAMA "is doing things differently, as he will not be accepting money in this way. Obama as President will not be ruled by special interested groups."
This actually came as a post to an article about how the cost of fuel is directly Bush's fault and to thank Congress for the dramatic drop in pork barrel spending.
I almost copied and pasted this article, but I very publicly "resigned" from posting there any more, after being told to STFU....

Let me state my premise clearly - Obama is a fake, a political version of Elmer Gantry with little experience and no lasting convictions, save becoming President. Unfortunately, the MSM is not as enlightened as you or me, so things come to them more slowly. But if USA Today is saying things like this against the annointed One, then (I am hoping) eventually they may see through his 24 hour flip flop on Jerusalem, and other such "evolutions."

Well, one can only hope....

With Obama's problems hitting the news more and more since he got the Nod maybe people will see the truth. Many in the MSM, even in MSNBC, were angry that he screwed with the other this Hillary meeting. McCain is very open with the media, he has to get them to feel at home with him, like Bush did to CNN in 2000. CNN actually produced a very nice piece in 2004 about how their reported who was in the Bush camp thought he was a great guy, how he has like a friend, now its McCain's turn to get the love.
