The formula for Reuters 2008 election cycle copy...
1) Lead with crank scientific poll numbers that favor democrats wildly in the general election.
"in hypothetical matchups, according to a Washington Post-ABC News poll released on Wednesday.
Illinois Sen. Obama leads McCain by 12 percentage points -- 52 percent to 40 percent; New York Sen. Clinton leads McCain by 6 points -- 50 percent to 44 percent, the poll found."
2) State the obvious as if it matters by using another credible news source to back up the statement:
"'McCain, endorsed by U.S. President George W. Bush, fares poorly against Clinton and Obama among Americans who disapprove of the president and Americans opposing the war,' The Washington Post said."
3) Make a wild claim that would sway an ill-informed and divisive voters to think it may be a legitmate point of debate for the election cycle thus creating a 22 week spin cycle of arbitrary hypothetical reasoning:
"Age might be another obstacle for 71-year-old McCain, who if elected would be the oldest first-term president.

Fox News reports Teens get suspended for wearing the crucifix here.
Apparently gangs in Oregon have been marking their crucifixes with gang affiliation identifiers. A principal exercised his authority to suspend two teenagers for not complying with the order to take off what was suspected as gang paraphernalia.
So does the ACLU protect the gang members' right to wear and mark their crucifixes?

I come home from work the other day and my wife is watching the Muppet Movie...the original...circa 1979...
It just so happens to be that moment when Kermit is negotiating his life with Doc Hopper...going on and on and on appealing to Doc Hopper's better nature...
"I don't believe you're a bad person Mr. Hopper...and well if you'd rather just kill me then go ahead..."

I'm voting my conscience, now and forever...so stop inundating me with pothered rhetoric about how I should get in line...
When the polls are all in next November 5th-6th, I suspect that regardless of the outcome principles will continue to be ignored, big government will get bigger, war will continue to expand throughout the nations of the middle east, the United States will become a fragment of a once hallowed republic in the ensuing 4 years...while our economy is engulfed by globalism...and our republic will consist of more and more ignorant people hoping to relieve themselves of accountability and autonomy.
