Young lady with a baby television spot

I just watched an attractive young woman with a young child on her lap tell Mr. McCain that he couldn't have the child for his hundred years in Iraq.
The only thing that struck me about the spot was why wasn't somebody aware that our country has a volunteer military and if the little boy is going to become a military man he has to ask permision, be approved, tested and then trained.
One would think that his mother might have considered that before the spot ran.
McCain could only be president for 8 years. That little tyke doesn't look 10 to me.

Let someone else sacrifice for it. It's a good think this woman wasn't a contemporary of Lord Haw-Haw and Tokyo Rose.
'Political Correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a
delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted
by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds
forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick
up a turd by the clean end.'

It is a political ad addressed to the emotions. Facts would just confuse the intended recipient.
Knowledgeable people will run the ad through their BS screen and reject it.
After all, when her little tyke turns 18, it will be his decision not his mother's. Although, if she moves to Berkley, he may turn out anti-military.
The people that this ad is addressed do not know that the draft no longer exists. For confirmation, check out some of the posters on AOL. They are the targets and the ad is just preaching to their choir.
