Clintons to the MSM: "Where Did Our Love Go?"

Every presidential campaign is a fascinating adventure in both politics and sociology. 2008 is no exception. In fact, it could be an exercise in socialism as well. But let's start with the fun stuff first!

Perhaps the most striking thing about 2008 is that the MSM has dropped all pretense of objectivity, and its minions are cheering for the charismatic campaigner who has pushed the Democratic party hard, hard left. They have never been so blatant. Not only do they favor the Dems over the GOP, something we have all known for quite a while, but they are now playing hardball deep inside the factional politics of the Democratic party itself.

Don't you want me, don't you want me no more?

The Clintons have expressed palpable shock at this development. Their generation is passing, and their former devotees have given them a most ungracious kick in the derriere while showing them the door. Long gone are the glory days of 1992 when Billary was the hottest ticket in town, and even the adrenaline rush of 1998/1999, when the MSM helped Bill & Hill fight off the evil, "sex-obsessed" VRWC.

The MSM victory lap has a price, though. New segments of American society have become aware of the bias and formidable propaganda machine of the MSM, a phenomenon that only conservatives and Republicans used to complain about. Now feminists, working people, farmers, older women, rural voters, below average income white men and a host of others have turned on their antennae and recognize the problem.

This could be the single most unexpected consequence of Campaign 2008. And about time, too.
