It's Election Day in Texas! Besides a Presidential race, there are several other important Republican primaries in Texas today. Erick highlighted CD-22 yesterday, a race so close that it will surely head to a runoff, but there are other important contests today as well.
From a more local perspective there is a key race to determine who will run Harris County, the greater Houston area and America's fourth largest county, and a whole host of stalwart conservative State Representatives are being challenged by more liberal Republicans. The result of these State Rep races will determine the fate of the Speaker of the House, which in Texas is an especially powerful position.
