Easy Method: How to win the Death Penalty argument with a Liberal
Step 1) Refer to the execution as a "Post-Birth Abortion"
(inspired by the Liberals hand wringing over Saddam Hussein's execution)
Of course the argument fails against a conservative against the death penalty... but that's not exactly my target.

Posted at 2:22pm on Dec. 24, 2006 A Future Childlike GOP
By Troll
This is inspired by the 2006 election campaign. A few of the reminders of antics of the opposition...
-Saying the Republicans were going to institute the draft. Then putting forth a bill to institute the draft. Then voting against it.
-Voting for the war, Voting to fund the war (some!)... then denouncing it and acting like you and Barbara Lee have been best friends since High School.
-Screeching Culture of Corruption and harping on any hint of impropriety while you do almost nothing against your own.

Posted at 4:48pm on Nov. 9, 2006 The Next Supreme Court Justice nominee 2006-2008
By Troll
There has been speculation that there is a Supreme Court vacancy during what is left of the Bush II presidency. The real speculation is here! http://www.thewsx.com/Main.php?do=stock_detail&stock=CTSTEV07
That's an actual 'Tradesports' type of thing on whether Justice Stevens will retire by Aug 2007. Click the time tabs to see more detailed trends. Other than finding the whole thing sort of crazy, I don't really have a comment on whether he will decide to retire or not. There is speculation that he is ill or will want a Republican to nominate his successor. Beyond all of that, I believe he is 89... tomorrow is a promise to know one.

Posted at 3:20am on Nov. 6, 2006 The Quintessential Kerry Beatdown
By Troll
If you can't get enough of Kerry getting the beatdown (and lets face it... who can't?) this is for you.
http://www.suntimes.com/news/steyn/123615,CST-EDT-steyn05.article
Mark Steyn - Chicago Sun-Times
Some favorites...
what he said fits what too many upscale Dems believe: that America's soldiers are only there because they're too poor and too ill-educated to know any better. That's what they mean when they say "we support our troops." They support them as victims, as children, as potential welfare recipients, but they don't support them as warriors and they don't support the mission.

Posted at 7:42pm on Nov. 4, 2006 It was Painful and yet Gratifying (GOTV story)
By Troll
I just finished calling my phone list for GOTV efforts from GOP.com. I specifically chose calling voters in swing states. Since I'm in San Francisco Bay Area California, urging people to vote R is mostly a waste of time (you do get to accidentally spit on people if you talk long enough)... they gave me Montana as my swing state.
I have a few comments about the process.

Posted at 5:50pm on Oct. 31, 2006 AP changes story... covering up for Kerry on Troop Bashing
By Troll
A fellow Redstater (Mark Kilmer) was impressed the AP was running the real story and criticizing Senator Kerry for his remarks. Specifically calling him out on his statements as "Troop Bashing".
http://www.redstate.com/redhot/mark_kilmer/2006/oct/31/the_ap_calls_it_t...
I saw his link to the article and said to myself... yeah by now they've changed that 'oversite'. Sure enough! He need not be impressed anymore... they've changed the story! They are now soft peddling the remarks and protecting Kerry.

Posted at 6:25pm on Oct. 30, 2006 What Harold should have said!
By Troll
My wife envies my ability to be flippant on the fly. She comes back from work and 'downloads' (a successful marriage hinges on a mans ability to properly suffer thru this) and if it involved a need for a retort on her part, I usually come up with one in a few moments.
The following is what Harold should have said from the past week's Democratic gaffs.
Harold Ford's “I like football and I like girls.”

Posted at 11:59am on Oct. 30, 2006 Thanks to the Asshat Parade
By Troll
There has been a slew of thorns in the side of our 'War on Terror' specifically in Iraq and to a lesser extent in Afghanistan.
Listing the uncouth, unsupportive and dare I say (oh yes I do!) UNPATRIOTIC actions of said offenders would fill an encyclopedia rather than a book. I'll give a general summary instead. In a surprise twist, I'll be backhandedly thanking all of these people here in the end.

Posted at 7:11pm on Oct. 23, 2006 Border Agent Travesty
By Troll
The Prez could energize the Base, improve Border Agent morale and protect the country.
How? By interceeding with the legal convictions against Ignacio Ramos and Jose Alonso Compean. Who are they? Two Border Patrol Agents (one of them Border Patrol Agent of the year in 2005) doing their job who didn't file some paperwork and have now been sentenced to 11 and 12 years in prison. The more you find out... the more incensed you will be (all indications are they got f'd; no magic 8-ball needed).

Posted at 6:53pm on Oct. 18, 2006 Terry Tate, Office Linebacker (best thing you'll see all month)
By Troll
I'd have posted this at Redstate Sports since its 'football related' (but I can't). However, everyone that needs a testosterone laden pick-me-up is a valid end-user.
Cheering me up to think that Terry would put the office smackdown on a few of the people moping about the GOP's chances this election.

By Troll
Thats right, The Time to Complain is Past.
There was a time to encourage your preferred challenger to enter the ring and depose the GOP incumbent you didn't like. Same thing for finding the one to depose the ________ (D) incumbent or challenger. The Candidates have been chosen.
That Time has Past.
There was a time for the RNCC to adequately support the ________ (R) after a contested primary. If they didn't and left em out to dry...

Posted at 7:37pm on Oct. 16, 2006 How Men and Women think... (video; a must view)
By Troll
This video should be a national GOP campaign commercial in support of the War on Terror (ie. Islamist Aggression).
http://www.break.com/index/difference_between_men_and_women.html
No editing needed.. only add the following.
"Hey Women! Welcome to the 7th century. This type of thinking is coming soon unless you support the GOP."
"There's talk. And then there is action. We are the action party. Vote Republican in 2006."

Posted at 1:29pm on Sep. 25, 2006 What if 'whites' did telemarketing like this?
By Troll
Wife picked up the phone (she was expecting a call from the doctor so she didn't look at the caller ID). Low and behold... bad luck strikes and its a telemarketer and what does he say and ask?
"Hello... I'm calling to raise money for the NAACP. Is this a BLACK household?" And when the answer was no.. he hung up!
Then the wife told me what was up...
UNBELIEVEABLE!!!
It's possible it was, but I don't think this was a prank. (comments under the fold)

Posted at 11:44am on Sep. 16, 2006 GA Illegal Crackdown with references to the Gestapo and Walmart included
By Troll
This article is almost unbelievable (though there is a cherry at the end...).
The 'horrors' of what happens to a town when all the illegal immigrants are taken or chased away. The focus was not only the illegal business from the primary company but the secondary businesses feeding, housing and babysitting the children of the illegals. The owner of the business who went out and BOUGHT an American flag just so he could fly it upside down (note to anyone living near Stillmore, Ga... there is a flag that needs 'rescuing'). Throw in the abandoned anchor baby, a slew of demogogery and a couple of just out of the park statements (highlighted quotes, the cherry, commentary & article beyond):
