Wounded Soldier Ride

Have you even heard of the “Wounded Warrior Project”? The history of the Soldier’s Ride starts in 2004 and is on their website. One event this year was a three-day bicycle race from the “White House to the Lighthouse” at Annapolis Maryland via Walter Reed Army Hospital and Baltimore MD.

It is not just the event I want to bring to your attention but the despicable lack of news on the event by the liberal mainstream media. An event to publicize the heart, the triumph of wounded soldiers and their undefeatable spirits and MSM for the most part can’t even acknowledge it.

C-Span has a video [available at rtsp://video.c-span.org/60days/wh042408_bush2.rm](enter this code in your video player to watch) of the President’s remarks and the start of the race. The video is long (27 minutes). It shows many courageous people not the least of which is our President. Perhaps that is the reason the MSM failed to report on this story. Liberals control for the most part the MSM and they are distinctly anti-American, not because of their opinion about the President but because of their controlled propaganda that treats their consumers with disdain and demonstates their blatant bias.

Is it any reason that the elitists of the press (and of academia) favor the elitist candidate for the donkey party? They believe that they are smarter than you are, ergo they should rule and control your access to information. They know what is good for you and it’s their way or the highway.

A prime example of this is the polls that give a very low ranking to President Bush, but if the MSM actually related facts and showed the public the true man perhaps the polls would be different. Only history will tell how President Bush is remembered, but here and now I am of the opinion that he has been who we needed during this turmoil. He was elected fairly. The war in Iraq is not and has not been “about oil” (at least not for George W. Bush).

The war is not over! And this country still needs a leader who will “hold the course”, who will stand up for democracy. We also need a MSM that tells “the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth”.

As of noon Sunday, April 27, 2008 Google had only the following MSM news articles on this event.

I can't remember where but President Bush was shaking hands with a crowd of people. He shook hands with a young girl and continued down the line. Someone in his entourage told him that the girl had lost her mother in one of the Towers on 9-11

The President stopped, walked back and reverting to 'daddy mode' embraced the young girl and expressed his sympathy.

There was some mention in the MSM, but not much. Typical.
Until we stop supporting the liberal media they won't go away.

To the soldiers involved in the ride: The battlefield isn't the only place where your bravery has been displayed. Thank you!

We can't have them rising above the challenges with which they are faced and leading proud, productive lives! Bush lied and they were crippled and victimized!

Ft. Hard Knox I am not sure from your comment if it meant to be satirical or tongue in cheek, but No they are not victims. They are soldiers and if you are smart you will not call them crippled.
As for Bush lying, I believe the record shows that most of the free world's governments also had the same beliefs. Also there isn't enough time here to list all the lies from Hillary, Bill or Barrack.

First of all, Raven is a well-known pro-mission soldier, so that was sarcasm. Secondly, instead of typing re:, use the reply to this link.

Other than that - welcome to RS.

Thank you, still trying to find my way around and understand the layout
